I really don't know why Igbos and Yorubas don't like hearing each other's name.

A Yoruba man will tell an Igbo mind your business and an Igbo will tell a Yoruba mind your business. What is actually the problem?

Let us look at this in a different way.

* Yorubas want their freedom and a nation of their own.

* Igbos want their freedom and a nation of their own.

* Hausas want their one Nigeria by fire by force since they have the lion share.

Why can't the 2 ethnic group (Yorubas & Igbos) who want freedom to unit and defeat the region that says no to their freedom.

Believe it all leave it, it will be had for Igbos to single handedly achieve freedom and the same to Yorubas.

If those who want freedom can stand together and say enough is enough then the north will never have the power to stop them.

The bigger problem is me and you, we are here on Nairaland fighting each other.

There is no other way to achieve freedom without coming together.

The only sane and wise comment so far.

Keep deceiving yourself in the name of one useless political affiliation. The Yoruba Nation Project is spearheaded by a renowned Prof. Banji Akintoye and is not polititcally motivated in any way.
Yoruba nation is not negotiable.

Those close to Sunday Igboho should call him to order unless he wants to end up in Kirikiri Maximum Detention Facility. If he continues on this path, Buhari will unleash all the security and legal might of the state on him.

That would be a grave mistake. When the cause is just then the Government will lose ,from having too many enemies to fight, once the Buhari-led FG becomes dictatorial, brutal and intolerant.

Let us not forget that Igboho, unlike Kanu, is not agitating for secession and peddling hate speech against other Nigerians because Goodluck Jonathan lost an election. Igboho is not doing this because he loves to disturb the peace of Nigeria like others enjoy orgasmically as part of their nature.

Igboho is doing this because of reasons the entire universe can apreciate and empathize with. He is having to watch Yorubas maimed, kidnapped, killed, raped everywhere with farms and livelihoods of families being destroyed by Fulani marauders all in the name of 'one Nigeria'. Even those against secession worldwide would agree the cause is just in this case.
And Kanu is not fighting against these things you mentioned or these atrocities are not committed against Igbos??

The stink of your hypocrisy has gotten the attention of the devil!

For your info, Sunday Igboho and yorubas at large are doing this because of politics!!

The other side had consistently said it's a about 2023 and I wondered how the two related.

But with your post, it's obvious yorubas no longer want one Nigeria because their political allies are gradually reneging on their promise to hand over to Tinubu!

And to achieve that, they have unleashed efcc on your people who are serving or served in the APC government.

Now I believe without any doubt that it's all about 2023 and the fear of a Yoruba ridicule by the Cabals in APC.

You are armtwisting the buhari government, making the country ungovernable for the lifeless Sudanese!!

Pls answer the questions below from captainAyub.

Do you know Nnamdi Kanu was once arrested during GEJ's tenure, detained overnight and released the following day but your darling Buhari decided to detain him for years without even a court order?
Do you know Nnamdi Kanu called for boycott of 2015 elections?
Do you know Nnamdi Kanu was once a deputy to Uwazurike of MASSOB which has been in existence since Obj's first tenure?

You must really be a child to mention WAR in this discussion because you have no idea how destructive wars are.

Have you ever imagined a solider pointing a gun to your head and asking you to rape your mother?

Perhaps you don't know what it feels like for a useless man in uniform to rape your sister right in your presence. Guess what, you cannot do shit. You either enjoy the heartbreaking live porn grin or lose your life.

More importantly, no single tribe can challenge Nigeria to any war and succeed. Nigeria is a rich country. It can afford to pay thousands of mercenaries to finish up the enemy army. A good example is the Nigerian Civil War.

One thing, I have learnt about how my Igbo brothers play politics is, they will rather harp on a past grudge than build fences.

They will rather call Awolowo a traitor, than reason how illogical it is, to still expect Awolowo to seccede Yorubaland having accepted ministerial appointment from the Nigeria government.
Or how logical is it to expect Awolowo, who has become a minister in the war-time Nigeria to push Biafra interest?

They will rather tag the Yorubas as traitor because Awolowo did not pulled Yorubaland out of Nigeria, like Ojukwu did.
But will never mention a word of commendation or call Yorubas, loyal or valiant for Adekunle Fajuyi's selfless sacrifice for Aguiyi Ironsi.

Neither will they remember the ultimate price paid by Col. Banjo, a friend to Ojukwu, who fought on the side of Biafra against Nigeria.
He lost his life in the fight for Biafra. Not from Nigeria bullet, but by the order of Ojukwu his friend. Yorubas have not for one day castigate Ojukwus action, believing Col. Banjo died for a cause he chose.
Neither will they acknowledge the protest by Soyinka for Biafra interest during the war.
All my brothers remember is, how Awolowo's brilliance for the side he worked for won the war for the side he stood for.

Fast forward to the 4th Republic.
They will rather vilify Yorubas for supporting Buhari in 2015, and not remember, same Yorubas voted Jonathan enmass in 2011, except in the state of Osun.

If our choice of Jonathan in 2011, benefited you, yet you gqve no word of commendation, why these vilification for our 2015 choice that did not favour you?.

Where in this is political understanding and maturity?

If Hausas did not feel betrayed in Yorubas' choice of Jonathan in 2011, why are the igbos still bittered for our choice in 2015?.

The North saw the loss of 2011 and build bridges in 2015.

The Igbos saw the loss of 2015, and are still busy, villifying a choice of the Yorubas.
2019 came and has gone, 2023 is drawing near, igbos ate still holding to their taunting brush, painting who voted disater-buhari and who did not.

Alienating everyone who voted Buhari as dumb and stupid.
Even when you rescind your support for Buhari. They shout, No!!!!!!!, you cannot, na you vote this disaster.

And so f**king what?
We made our choice, and are living with the choice, and funningly, so are you.

2023 will come and meet the Igbos unprepared, no fence built, and the year 2023 will leave them to continue the complains, the accusations, the name calling, the villifying.

Only the Igbos understand themselves.
And even that understanding of themselves, is not even obvious, as the glaring segregation and dissent among themselves.
