These Hotspots are well known, what would it take for the security agencies to setup a honeypot bait for these kidnappers. What exactly is duty of the DSS again ?? Is it just to harass anyone against this administration?? They are so docile!! 2 Likes |

Bad or failed portions of the road not the main problem down south. It's the military men who "dam" the roads to extort from motorists. Also causing accidents and harassing law abiding citizens. At night these spots become den for robbers and kidnappers. |

The roads do need repair..... for free flow of traffic .... not to prevent kidnapping. The bad roads just make it easier for kidnappers... they don't have to erect road blocks like they do in areas with good roads. The problem is the government has made kidnapping a profitable business.... with little starting capital. I gather a few of my guys... buy or borrow a few machetes ... rent an AK... erect a roadblock... capture some victims... demand ransom. They will pay what they don't have. Being caught .. no plans... not likely to happen. If it does... Police do capture us... 99% chance they will take release bribe. If not enough money... then kidnap school kids..... the government will beg and pay. Kidnappers need to be hunted down ... and face death penalty when caught ... or stoned to.deqth when caught. Nothing will change until politicians or their families are targeted. 1 Like |

It baffles me how a road of 50 km will be having just few pot holes spanning less than a Kilometres but will remain unattended to for so long. |
