IT’S FINALLY HERE!
UNVEILING THE ARK 100,000 Capacity Project
Good News!
The groundbreaking for the Legacy Project, that is the 100,000-seat capacity Sanctuary called The Ark is scheduled to take place at Canaanland this Thursday 25th March 2021 and the time is 11:00 am.

The Ark will specifically take 106,000 seats and will include a 24 Floor Mission Tower (International Headquarters Facility) made up of 2 pairs of 12 floors each. It is to be built on the site of the old Faith Academy adjoining Faith Tabernacle which will now become its overflow facility. Faith Tabernacle and Faith Academy’s Foundation Laying both took place on 29th August 1998 and both projects lasted one year with the 50,000 capacity Faith Tabernacle project commencing on 18th September 1998 and dedicated on 18th September 1999. According to Bishop Oyedepo, not one dime of the money contributed to this project since 2015 has been touched and the Church has maintained strict budgeting and never going out of her budget. ‘Right now’ says Bishop Oyedepo ‘ it doesn’t feel like what we are building (the Ark Project) is up to a bungalow’........
Continuing the announcement by the Church-Members of the Church especially Pastors, Deacons, Deaconesses, Heads of various units who are able to make it are required to be present for this Prophetic Event.

Everyone that sees the take off of this Project shall live to see its completion in his or her multiplied state in the name of Jesus Christ.
‘God will never cease to spring surprises in your life.’
-Bishop David Oyedepo

The Ark shall remain a Sanctuary of Jesus for ever and there will be many more high palaces for Jesus around the World.
Jesus will meet people worshipping in this Sanctuary whenvever he comes whether in 1000 or 2000 years.

That's why I told you to shut up.

For the last 15 years, they have tried severally to bear the cost 100% to repair the road the government refused. A small portion leading there that was done got her officials arrested. The government doesn't want it done. Simple.

I know this first hand. Go ask people. From as far back as Glengarnock Daniel's terrain Ogun State completely refuted any attempt to repair or reconstruct the roads that leads there. The other express Road is federal government which is beyond the jurisdiction of the church.

Ordinary Road at Ofada where Dangote trucks ply in hundreds daily, government says he must repair it
Some of the people in Government are members of his church, seems like they are not practicing what he preaches grin

The thing is not just about the church and the government, it’s about our combined priorities as a people and we obvious have misplaced a lot of them.

A system that brews mega churches with dilapidated infrastructure is an embarrassment and obvious disaster . It speaks volume on the kind of people we are and our collective reasoning. Bro, those infrastructure are meant to enslave more people mentally and further enslave the already enslaved, you can’t build a nation when you make blueprints for mental slavery.

The money he’s using to build that church will definitely come from the people and that money will come because the people have been made to believe that the church is a priority, most of the people that will fund the work are in the government and civil service. You see how we are getting it all wrong? That church will not work if a lot of them reason.

Nigeria should kukuma handover the leadership of the nation to the church since people are looking to the church organizations to do what is expected from the government. Church do this, church do that.... If the church decides to be performing government responsibilities, how much can they do?
The components of our society (schools, home, workplace and religious homes) are factors for the leadership of this nation.
It’s obvious that the society, which includes religious homes are fallen short in producing profound leaders. The church is part of the problem, the priorities has shift a lot to frivolous things.
Part Of those that will fund this projects who are his members are in the government and civil service, they have been conditioned by the church to think that this project the the optimum priority right now, they even go as far as stealing public money to fund this project, they properly fund religious infrastructure but cannot properly fund social and communal infrastructure. Religious centres cannot be exonerated from the problem of the country because they a key component of our society and the leadership of every society is a product of that society. They are obviously failing and that’s why we can boast of good leadership. Let’s stop being to religious and tell ourselves the truth.
It’s totally barbaric that we the best religious facilities and yet lack social amenities with poverty rate increasing yearly. It’s a marker that something is definitely wrong with us as a people.

Yes, they are a key component of society but they have their roles and government still has theirs too. Basically, the church is funded through donations in the form of tithes, offerings and other forms of giving which are lesser percentages of the members annual income. The church funds cannot be compared to that of the government. The church can try to help but they can't do much with their funds as people are expecting them too compared to the government. Churches help and they have been doing well at that but It is not supposed to be so that people are looking to the church to play the role of government. Look at a country like USA, they have mega church facilities too but how often do they blame the church for not doing what their government should do?

The rapture is not an excuse for laziness, stagnancy or a lack of vision. Anyone who manages to know the Bible enough knows that the believers will still inherit the earth and rule over it for about a thousand years. Did they teach you that when your ears still functioned properly?

You are not getting the point still. U.S do not have more religious infrastructure than societal infrastructure, that’s not the case for Nigeria. As matter of fact, the investment the people of United States put into research and education is far from whatever amount their churches there can get. The people have priorities and it’s reflecting in the fabric of their society.
The church cannot survive independent of other components of the society, that’s why whatever happens in the society determines how people donate to churches, it’s clear that the mentality of our people is advantageous to the church. The mentality of the people generally has been tailored toward believing that answers and solutions to problems are in religious homes instead of make a blueprint for infrastructural developments and that’s why religion in Nigeria is doing way better than our country average developmental stride.

It’s a “people’s” problem on how they perceive where their solutions lie.

I think the problem is that Nigerians have a weak value system, corruption is accepted as official, Nigerians are too sentimental and it shows during the election, competency is given the back seat. You might blame religion but just because one identifies with a religion does not mean he or she truly practices it. People are blaming churches because the government failed them so they feel the next place to express their frustration is at mega churches that have been built for decades and are helping with societal infrastructures : schools, roads, hospitals, and other basic amenities; even during covid lockdown churches stepped in while others hoarded palliatives. I blame the government and the Nigerians voting them.

Now it boils down to the question; what’s actually the role of the church that warrants so much to fund it?

What benefit does the church provide to measure up to the kind of funding it gets?
