If your argument is true, it means PSG should be in final and not Man city. The reason is that, PSG, were in final last season against Bayern Munich

i man should they ever come back. Doesn’t have to be consecutively. The opponents you play also matters. If it’s team with a bigger history in the competition, most times the bigger team wins. Only Chelsea broke that when they met Bayern, but even that was their second appearance in the finals after losing to Manutd (a bigger team in ucl) in their first final.
