The government brought this on themselves. They will soon see the result of using force to settle every problem. The people not on your side to give you intelligence because of your past atrocities, a guerrilla war you cannot just go into any village and kill people as usual, the security agencies morale reduced due to being targets and no more inflows from street bribes.
The government of the day also had a chance during endsars to increase the welfare of police and instill discipline and stop the illegalities.
