Aliko Dangote, chairman Dangote Group, says the $2 billion granulated urea fertiliser plant located at Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, will begin operations next week.

He announced this in Lagos on Saturday, during a tour of facilities by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, at the Lekki Free Trade Zone and Dangote petrochemical refinery facilities.

The billionaire businessman also disclosed that the refinery plant will be completed later this year and production will commence first quarter 2022.

The fertiliser plant has a name-plate annual capacity of three million tons of urea and ammonia — largest in the world.

It is also being constructed in the Lekki Free Trade Zone area which houses other plants and factories including the 650,000 barrels per day Dangote Refinery and Lekki Port.

This makes Dangote fertiliser plant, the only urea exporting company in Sub-Saharan Africa, both the fertiliser and petrochemicals plants are capable of generating $2.5 billion annually.

Godwin Emeiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, had assured that arrangements have been to enable the Dangote Refinery sell refined petroleum products in naira when it commences production which will save foreign exchange for the country.

“I am saying that by this time next year, our cost of import of petroleum products for petrochemicals or fertiliser will be able to save that which will save Nigeria’s reserve,” Emefiele had said.

One of the funniest ironies of life that is most appealing to me is that the ways of God is at complete variance with that of man.

A classical case in point is Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

The more shildren of 8, anger, frustration and perdition hate and curse him, the higher he soars.

Yesterday when Dangote said his refinery will be ready at the end of 2021, one child of devil prayed that Dangote's refinery goes up in flames before 2022.

Today, he has just dropped another one, fertilizer plant to commence operations next week. Oya, make dem start another curse.

Funny enough, it is the same living God they are praying to for such calamity to befall same man He blessed.

Dangote, may you soar higher and higher while curse and more curse remain the portion of these descendants of Lucifer.

Don't buy anything online without securing your money.

That risk is not worth taking.

Dangote makes all his money through YORÙBÁ lands. The limestone he uses for his cement industry is gotten from the South West, he has unrestricted access to our ports, now he is building plants on our lands and YORÙBÁs are living like slaves.

Igbos are also clearing up our bushes in Lagos and Ogun states to sell to us. How many YORÙBÁs can go clear up bushes in the north or East for real estates??

Imagine the opportunity that would be created of the resources in the South West are utilised by YORÙBÁs and used for the betterment of our lands.

All these nonsense can only end if we get YORÙBÁ nation. A nation for YORÙBÁs by YORÙBÁs.

You've said it all. All well meaningful Yoruba's working hard knows this country is not favoring us.

Only the civil servant and politicians are the unity beggers.

At this stage our youth are important to our struggle since they don't benefit anything good from this nation lets be on our own.

Some people say its not easy to start a new country , same people will give excuse for Nigeria failure and say its not easy to run a big country. Those set of people giving such excuse are not bright thinkers.

Bye bye to affordable fertilizer in Nigeria. Any sector he ventures into, he uses the corrupt government in power to monopolize it and hike the price yet they claim they are growing Nigeria's economy through local production and still get tax waivers and FOREX waivers. Nigeria is just a banana republic angry angry
