Ofcourse you're saying the truth, and Buhari over the years has proven this to be true. That's more reason Lord Lugard will continue to suffer severely in hell for merging the south with north when it was clear that the south had nothing in common with quota system people.

In 1957 you guys wanted to have your independence, and we said we are not ready. It took your southern leaders to prostrate and bow to our Northern leaders before we agreed. Why didn't you guys go ahead and let us be?

God Bless Lugard, at least the Oil from the south is what we are enjoying and no one can stop the cash flow

137 unfortunate victims of Nigerian political games.

I don’t know how, but there’s no way you’ll tell me that some politicians aren’t cashing out from this attacks and killings in Nigeria.

This occurred in Niger Republic. Near their border with Mali.

Lugard should have joined the northern Nigeria with the Niger people. The southern part of Nigeria has nothing in common with them.

The militants, largely drawn from the Fulani herding community, have targeted civilians in retaliation for killings of Fulanis by self-defence militias formed by the farmers.

I guess the Niger are also pampering first class citizens in Niger Republic. Maybe he is seeking advise from buhari on how to handle it in Nigeria model way

Sad and very unfortunate but they should enjoy their Islamic fundamentalism. Muslims love to run, escape and go to areas where people don't practise Islam because those places are relatively peaceful, only to start to enact mosques and begin to propagate Islamic fundamentalism that shattered their previous settlements. Same thing with the Christians - they are not better than the Muslims.

It's just as if Niger and Nigeria teamed up in treating these terrorists with kids glove. Nigeria and Niger should do one right thing for once. Innocent people are dying! The land is flowing with so much blood already. Stop being sympathetic to terrorists for goodness sake

This is so so disheartening. Height of wickedness and man's inhumanity to man. The underlying issue being portrayed is farmers' and herders crisis which has encouraged the creation of militias and ensuing vendetta. Sadly, this is same issue that has been festering in the already volatile Nigeria, encouraging secessionary calls and formation of militias under the guise of self-defense and retaliation. I am not sure our leaders have the ability or willpower to tackle this menace in an already impoverished continent, so I can only say God save Africa.

because the British didn't want a Nigeria without a good and trusted slave to run it,so the British officials to zik and awolowo that there are three regions and they three must be complete before Independence will be granted,it was a trap, zik and awolowo met the sardauna, the sardauna gave them conditions, his condition being that the north must have 50 percent majority in the house before he can agree for Independence, they agreed because they felt it's better to be with fellow Africans than with the apartheid British.
But the north chose to serve British interests in return for British backing for their continuous stay in power.
You can investigate these

This old lines of blaming lugard is becoming stale. What happened in 1957, when the South wanted to have their independence, did we in the North agree? Why didn't your greedy kinsmen go ahead with their desires? But they had to go on their knees to beg us to join them. Is it the fault of Lugard?
