The Anambra State government has presented a project car to the Community Liaison Officer for the Anambra State International Airport Project.

The car was presented on behalf of the state government by the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor in the Ministry's premises.

Engr. Marcel said that the presentation was in fulfilment of the promise made by Gov. Willie Obiano to the Ifite Umueri Community last week. He said that the car will enable the CLO to discharge his work efficiently and to liaise adequately between the Community and the government of Anambra State.

Engr. Marcel said that he believes that with the good gesture and other things government has done for the host Community, the community will reciprocate by giving the government a good working environment so that the Airport project will be delivered as soon as possible.

On his part, the PG of Ifite Umueri Community, the host community for the Anambra State International Airport, Mr Basil Iwuoba thanked the government on behalf of Ifite Umueri Community for fulfilling a promise that was made in just a week. He promised that the community will give the government an enabling environment to work.

The Community Liaison Officer (CLO), Mr Sam Ndubuisi Anene was full of thanks and appreciation to Gov. Willie Obiano for making a promise and fulfilling same. He thanked the Airport Project team leader, the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor for making it possible. He promised that they will be even more efficient in their duties and ensure that the relationship between the government and the Ifite Umueri community will be maintained at all time by enthroning peaceful environment.

The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Chief Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Uzu Okagbue, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works, Barr. Emeka Ohuoha, and Directors in the Ministry.
