It's, I see you call yourself a bad boy. I disagree. You found your style and you stick to it. Mine was sort of different, started working full time in 300 level and I was doing an engineering course in Lasu Epe. I lived on the island and had a job that took me to Abuja every week. I go to school on Fridays and return to the island on Mondays. IE, I missed lectures, tests and whatevers. Still graduated with a 2:2

Someone we hoped would do very well in school just told me his CGPA. Turned out that the wonder kid we saw him as was actually an EFCC personnel. means the efcc letters are his grades. Absolutely woeful.

I didn't blame him much, with this school na scam mentality everywhere. The purpose of this thread? " Bros you enjoy school, you drink and you nack and you party. Yet you pass well". I didn't give him the "na God" reply. I gave him some tips and I hope this will help other EFCC personnels out there.

1. Never miss lectures. Lectures help you train your brain. Listening to the words coming from the lecturer to me is an expo in the exam hall. I see the question and in my mind I press play. Boom lecturer appears in my mind's LCD screen and I'm off.

2. Be very hydrated.. Drink lots of water. Food might be scarce but no let water scarce. Processed information fired up the nervous system are electric like. Water keeps the brain well conducted. Information has no problem storing.

3. Love what you're reading. I've heard I don't like this course...oga like am. If you no want like am go meet the lecturer turn am to your friend. Like the lecturer you like the course. Once a course is difficult you see me hanging around the lecturer. Wait I was playing my hair so naturally they didn't like me. But when they see a boy that should be drinking beer and is obviously a smoker trying to know Fourier transformation they want to help.

4. Read a chapter, close it and jot down what you understood. If you miss some read it again. Do it again and again till you mastered it. Then when you wake up and before you sleep recite it. Or get a mirror and say it out loud. It will stick.

5. Don't do guerrilla reading. That means reading for exam or tests. Always read ahead. I start reading from the day of resumption. No be when exam come people go full class. In fact exam periods na revision I dey do. I'm always comfortable. Read ahead.

6. Read in your comfort zone.. some like music, some like noise, some like silence. Choose your poison. For me I use Enya. Play Enya and everything I read sticks.

7. When sleepy....sleep. don't force it. Back then I used candles to burn myself. After reading the next morning ask me what I read na foul. Dem don go. When sleep come pack up and sleep. Make you no go Kolo.

8. Organise book clubs and tutorials. For me it was an avenue to get ladies. Later I found myself mastering a topic so that I can teach it later. I gain both ways. I get the ladies and still pass grin. Don't be like me though. Do it for the knowledge. It'll help.

9. Limit your flexing to weekends. Drink well enjoy well. Weekdays face school work. Pity your mama.

10. Remember your family. Imagine their faces when they realise you've been wasting their cash. That one alone suppose ginger you...

On a final note have reading partners. People you read with. They help. Shout out to lord fuga....., Wande oko, olu......., Yango.....,mayo..... and the rest of my crew. Hope you all are doing well in your lives.

Never forget, keep your university circle tight. After graduation na only one or two friends they remain. So why pack them?Me na 0 friend remain.

I hope this helps someone out there.

This is a bit dicey. I was always sleeping during overnight prep and it got to a stage I was afraid I was under attack because I would be very sharp and alert before I opened my books, but once I open it, fiam, the sleep came like an aggressive armed robber robbing me of every iota of wakefulness. By the time I woke up the night would be far gone and I wouldn't be able to study much before dawn. I struggled at first and was very upset each time I woke by 4am, but later I decided to stop night prep entirely and sleep early so that I could wake before 3am and study.

It worked. Even before this decision my peers stopped prepping with me. They said prepping with me was dangerous because after sleeping and snoring in class, I would enter the exam hall the following day and get A in the course. I explained to them that 'na God' grin

My point is find what works for you and flow with it. Not everyone can assimilate fast so they need shorter hours of sleep.

Not all people are comfortable with tutorials. Personally I didn't allow people tutor me, neither did I give tutorials. I didn't attend tutorials, book clubs, reading clubs etc, but I was able to pass very well because I loved studying in solitude and perfect silence.

Again, find what works for you.
aptly said. In our school then, we call it awōkó( overnight reading) the first day I went, it was as if someone blew sleeping powder on me grin I think I woke up 4am! But gradually I began to master it. Idawú?

That no. 6 ehn. Listening to Enya songs makes my mind to travel into faraway land, and before I travel back, I'm exhausted and the task at hand suffers.

During my school days, I don't attend tutorials, I don't go to read at school at night, Reading in group is not my thing.

When school resume, I make sure I get all the lecturers textbooks, study them well; even use foreign textbooks to support. I read ahead. I don't cram! I read to understand.

My reading was done in the Library where everyone mind his business and at home, early hours of the morning. I relax most weekends with my unserious friends and hangout with . . . you know na at a Relaxation Centre.

It worked for me, and I graduated with the CGPA I told myself I will graduate with when I was admitted.

I no too stress myself. The only stress I had was to buy the lecturers textbooks who made their textbooks compulsory by attaching marks after I spent textbooks money sent to me from home.

Funny enough, I bought only few of them, but the way I read like an aggressive lion, ehn, even the lecturers no dare give me carryover!

Isoright.....

Know the type of lecturer you are dealing with or the type of lecturer Taking the course...

You see those ones that are strict...you can easily pass their course.....just attend their class..mark attendance....do what ever assignment they throw at you..then read a little to pass their test and exam.....
I can bet my balls if you are able to do all these ...then you B is sure..
You see those lecturer that are playfull and acting friendly...very difficult to pass their course....they are pretenders...
Also Study past questions papers...most of our lecturers nor get time to dey set questions...repetition of questions dey occur...na wetin I take fuckkk them up for computer science department for uniben that year...
And the most important one....be say anybook way nor Green enter brain....make sure say he enter inside exam hall.....and always block lecturer shaperly....na who pass know book....and moreover our main aim of going to university na to graduate..so do everything possible to graduate
..you said it all
