It's simple. He's starting in the north where he has more support from APC. This is the takeoff. He hasn't gone to the South-South too for the same reasons, momentum must be built up. There's time still, and thinking about it, he's the first strong politician to really show his hand and start an informal campaign. He must test the waters first before going to more unfriendly grounds.

The only reason why people come to Lagos is, because the Federal Government built the following
1. 80% of all roads in Lagos.
2. 90% of bridges
3. Seaports
4. Airports
5. Military Installations
6. Railway
7. Lagos Government House
8. Federal Housing Units
9. Stadiums

Which of these did Lagos State build? It wouldn't have been different from Osun State.
Last night, your kinsmen still left East in droves. Seeking for economic asylum in Yorubaland.

Don't sweat it, 5% matter less. Instead of you to present and promote a unique/credible candidate to represent igbos in 2023,y'all are busy hating on tinubu. You guys don't even understand what you want anymore. Do you expect to wake up one day and see that APC or PDP gives their ticket to an igbo man on a platter? On what basis? If you want power, come grab it else you will have another 4 to 8 years of serious wailing.

There's still time for igbo to start their underground works to actualize the aspiration. Even though I would have loved to see an igbo man become president for equity, they would have to lobby the rest of others to see why we should cast our votes for an igbo man. All these online pettiness won't take igbo anywhere. Infact igbo needs the power now more than ever.

Oga, think with your head. Abiola had no opposition in 1993 because IBB wanted a surrogate in both Abiola and Tofa. IBB disqualified all credible candudates like Yardua to pave way for two low-profile candidates who will readily acceot to step down.. Are you aware that Tofa, the NRC candidate did not even vote for himself? Unfortunately, Abiola thought he wsscsmart and decided to jittison the agreenent with IBB 48hrs to June 12, hence the rest we say is history.

It is an open secret that Tinubu has always had his eyes on the Nation's highest office. Reason he wanted to deputize Buhari in 2015 to shorten his route to the presidency but for religious sentiments.

Now, as another general election draws nigh, Tinubu and his lieutenants has been clearing the grounds and testing the waters for Tinubu's declaration for the presidency. While his boys are trying to unite the whole of Southwest under Tinubu candidacy, Tinubu himself is doing everything reasonable and unreasonable to warm himself into the heart of northern voters; donating money to victims of Katsina inferno, chairing the 12th Arewa House Lecture and all.

But one thing is conspicuously clear, and that is that neither Tinubu himself nor his lieutenants has made even the remotest of move towards the South East and the South South. And I want to ask why?

My people say, "oku nyu ahuru, ala achuwa ya oso" (literally, when the fowl polutes the air, the grounds chases after it). And by that I mean that Tinubu must be avoiding the SE/SS because of the role he played in the defeat of GEJ, a president they accused of favouring Igbos.

Now, if politics is a game of interest, how would the rest of the country want Igbos to vote for Tinubu, another President that would not be favorably disposed to the Igbos just like Buhari isn't?

Because avoiding the SE/SS in their early campaign clearly indicates where Tinubu is looking to create his allies and if he eventually wins, that would mean another 8 years of an Igbo hating govt.

This is a call on my Igbo brothers and sisters, if they APC ticket goes Southwest, let's not insist on the PDP ticket coming to the East. The North won't vote an Igbo man. Let the presidential ticket go to the North while the VP ticket comes to the East like in 2019. Let the fight be between the North and the West.

If the northerner wins with the PDP with an Igbo man as VP for 8 years, the anti-Igbo sentiments in the North must have been subdued to a very minimal level to create a favorable ground for an Igbo presidency.

This route might be longer, but it's better than having a president that hates Ndigbo for another 8 years

Are you talking about your 5% insignificant votes?

My stake is the Presidency should come to the South. I really don't care which part of the South. Let ot just come to the South. Let's humiliate the common enemies Hausa/Fulani first, then we can come and sort ourselves out within ourselves.

An Igbo man will not rule against the Yoruba's interest likewise a Yoruba man. And if an unfortunate Southerner rules against the interest of fellow Southerners, we will know how to treat his fucck up. Tinubu paid dearly for supporting Tambuwal against that Ibadan woman for House of Reps Speaker that year

It's pathetic you are mentioning creation of LASTMA, LCDAs, distribution of eye glasses, etc as Tinubu's laudable projects.

Very petty things.

Sam Egwu who was governor of Ebonyi when Tinubu was governor of Lagos also created over 64 LCDAs in Ebonyi. I guess we should also dash him the presidency since that is your yardstick.

When people are mentioning spectacular, laudable and legacy projects executed by a governor, shame no catch you to mention those trash.

No mention of Roads or bridges to help ease traffic.

No mention of Housing Units.

No mention of Hospital built.

No mention of schools built.

I now see why you are supporting Tinubu. Because you have terribly low standard of choice of a leader.

Pathetic!

So na u go decide wetin be development for west ba? But your people are leaving downtrodden east in thousands to seek economical asylum in the state built by same Tinubu. Although, the 3 items you listed are not development indexes persay, but I will still lecture you. cool

1. He started the development of lekki, ibeju lekki and free trade zones. Something you can never have in East for the next 100yrs or more.

2. He established additional 5 general hospitals in Lagos state.

3. Tinubu returned mission schools as to further free education legacy of the late sage, Awolowo.

Meanwhile, why are you guys hooked on Tinubu like drug addicts? It is very worrying tho

An Igbo for VP? Are you seeing the life of Vice President Osinbajo? Even a mere state commissioner is more recognized than him. Bro! Talk another thing abeg! It’s not a crime if an Igbo man becomes a president of this country, it is long overdue! Nigeria is not one man property! It’s either it belongs to all or let everyone go their separate ways! Since we changed to a democracy government, We have had presidency from the West e nor Favour us, from the south (My kinsman) and it still didn’t take us to the promise land, now from the North look and how fvcked we are! I think we need an Igbo presidency and a vice from the West or middle-belt! What I expect the West to do is look into their circle and bring a good candidate not the likes of Okoroawusa or Orji Kalu. Another option I can go for is if Zulum of Borno State becomes President with an Igbo VP.

I'm sorry if my reply is coming late, I've been busy.

"Only Island was part of FCT, mainland was Western region and then Lagos State".

Sir... You claim Mainland wasn't part of the FCT, how come Federal Government built Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) in 1954 in Apapa?
Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) was built in Mainland in Ikeja, Lagos in 1979?
One more question... 81st Division Lagos, was the home of the President then, built by FG.

"Lagos is getting more people because of its industries and large market, Awolowo built Ikeja industrial estate. His party, UPN built most industrial estates in Lagos"

Abuja couldn't boost of ₦2 billion yearly as revenue till it became Federal Capital, and Federal infrastructures were built, investors, companies and Foreign Mission moved in naturally, it didn't take any effort of the indigenous people, but Federal Government injecting funds into Abuja, so don't make it look like the indigenous Westerners funded it.
Oga it's natural that infrastructures attracts companies and businesses.

As regarding housing units, Sir... Almost every state has state housing unit, but the important question is, what's the ratio of unit over her population, does it cushion the housing deficit of the state.

I challenge you to state any Awolowo or Jakande Housing Unit that's up to 50,000 while Lagos is battling super housing deficit

The present Lagos port in Nigeria was built by Federal Government, I'm not talking of makeshift raft port.

What's the name of the Airport, kindly show us the pictures... Because Lufthansa Air was established since in 1926,and British Airways was found in 1974.

I won't be surprise to hear you had Airport in 1823. These people had pictures and it still runs till date.

According to stats, Igbos are the ones that voted Tofa massively to spite the West. IBB used an Igbo man to annul that election. That is why Igbos ran away to east from West during the annulment Saga. Not everyone plays the kind of clannish politics you play down in East.

And as for a reminder, the east will always be reaping their hatred for west just like your fathers reaped the one Azikwe sowed.
