I second this 100x. American companies will pay you $250,000 a year for work (doctor, law, software development) that would only earn you $50-80k in somewhere like Austria, Germany or Canada.

When I travelled to Florida and even Michigan I was amazed by the infrastructure even in small towns and cities. It was after my trip I understood why Americans are so proud of their country and think they are better than everyone else.

Then Nigerians need to shift their attention from presidency and focus on electing credible representatives at Senate and Reps to make the changes

Restructuring would still improve things by forcing people to hold their local leaders accountable. Right now in the SS and SE, most people are focused on blaming the federal government instead of their terrible governors. In the NE and NW people will support their incompetent ruling class to keep northerners in charge. Lagos is the only state that has evolved past this pathetic way of thinking -- the rest of the SW is just jungle, imo.
