Nice development police brutality will reduce drastically in Lagos state. I most commend the Lagos state governor for this initiative idea to meet wold standard Other state should follow up the trend. Again there should be an independent monitoring of this camera not only police |

Bouz: I see what you are saying, Lagos can not be like NY in Nigeria's own way, it's not going to happen because regardless of your corruption angle corruption which I don't buy into, the fact is, even if you double and triple Lagos state's income and budget, it still won't be able to keep up because the demand is too high and the population that's ever increasing is unmanageable and unsustainable. On top of that, Nigerians are too lawless, too rowdy, and uncaring to make anything work. We see how people damage new infrastructure, steal rails, steal manhole covers damage concrete dividers on roads and expressways, unlawful occupation of public spaces, and so on and on... The pressure on infrastructure and social services is unsustainable and unbearable. When Lagos cried out for special status, it was rejected along ethnic and tribal lines even though Lagos is shouldering responsibilities and inflow of people from failed states all over Nigeria, the leaders in the same failed states voted against that measure. Lagos state is trying with what's available and they are managing better than even richer states like Akwa Ibom and Rivers with more money and just 5 million people each. For Lagos to make any progress, the influx must be controlled and even thin out the population. |

First it's commendable that LASG had this in mind and trying to improve the security apparatus in the state Watch Black and Blue movie, the body cam can be switched off and on So what's the need? Our cops no get integrity.... This is like throwing money inside a basket Firstly, CCTV cameras should be placed in all strategic position and connected to the cloud, Then a dashcam which cannot be tampered with in their patrol van Then flush out the bad cops and retrain the not so bad cops, the body cam should have no button to off and on And should have a central console at the police station for charging after each patrol where all information is uploaded to the police database |
