Gunmen attack: Valentine Ozigbo sympathises
with Soludo,others

.. sues for peace

A frontline contender in the November 6 governorship poll in Anambra State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party,Chief Valentine Ozigbo has condemned the attack on Prof Chukwuma Soludo wherein three policemen were killed.
A statement signed by the Director, Strategy and Media,VCO Campaign Organisation,
Hon Valentine Ayika Esq, sued for peace and understanding in the circumstance.
While consoling those who lost their dear ones in mayhem, Ozigbo enjoyed security agencies to ensure the release of a Commissioner abducted in the attack.

Ayika's statement read in part,"The news of the deadly attack on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at an event where Professor Soludo was having a town hall meeting at his hometown, Isuofia, Anambra State came to us as a shock.

"According to press reports, the town hall meeting was invaded by gunmen and in the mayhem three policemen attached to Prof Soludo were killed.

"We condemn this act of violence, pray for the repose of the souls of the slain policemen, and extend our get well wishes to those that may have sustained injuries during the mayhem.

"We also appeal for immediate and unconditional release of the Commissioner for Utility in the State, Engr Emeka Ezenwanne.

"The Campaign Organisation admonishes all concerned to always tow the part of peace and opt for amicable or legal settlement of disputes.

"Let us remember that human life is and should remain inviolable at all times and for whatever reasons.
