The international break was a big factor in that game. Most Chelsea players were out on international break while the opponents were resting and getting enough group training for almost two weeks. The premier league couldn't make it any worse, they had to make Chelsea play the early fixture on Saturday. That's cruel, for a team with most players just returning from a break full of activities. There was a little bit of a disorganization in a Chelsea team that was just starting to blend under their new manager.

Secondly, the red card made matters worse because Chelsea seemed to be dominating the game and even got a goal as a result. The disorganization became more obvious after the red card, and the coach's decision after that didn't pay off either.

So don't get ahead of yourself yet, Chelsea is in no way losing form because of one unfortunate game. They'll be back against Porto. Porto may feel like they'll have it easy against the Blues but they'll soon become victims of a very tricky mind game. Chelsea will win that game on Wednesday against your expectations.
