Do we really need passport office in every local govt? How many passport will they process in a day in those small LGA in the north? This is waste of resources. All they need Is an office in each state capital and all the big cities make the offices very efficient. Make use of latest technology. Let people fill form online, go do biometric at the nearest office. Send the passport back by NIPOST.

The only reason I paid 18k is because I was ignorant about the process. It's not your fault, if I had found out about this thread before, I would have gone to one of the passport office in Lagos. what about people giving testimony about using DIY method and have gotten their passport? I think you are one of the corrupt officers at the Ibadan Passport Office. Don't worry all of you will soon meet your Waterloo.

am not an official at any government parastatals. Like I said Nigeria is deeply corrupt and it seems there is nothing we can do about it as mere individuals not in the position of influence.

What am trying to say is to flow with the tide to get your passport. If people are paying 60 and they are giving them quickly, my brother when I want to get mine, that is exactly what I would pay too. I have been on Nigeria for a long time to know how this country is. No time to waste.
