One day, when you are old enough to have a business, you will realize that the bigger your ability to take loans, the more well off you are in life.

Dangote still borrows, bill gate borrows, China borrows, US borrows, the EU borrows. Borrowing is not the problem, it's what you use the borrowed loan for that might be a problem

you made sense, but he made better sense. Why grant Nigeria debt relief when you know that she will borrow +3 times more and waste it on politically motivated projects and corruption ?

Na so

Poorest countries
The beneficiaries of previous CCRT tranche are Afghanistan, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and The Gambia.

Others are Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Tajikistan, Togo and Yemen.

Donors are

Thus far, donors have pledged contributions totaling about $774 million, including from the European Union, the UK, Japan, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Singapore, China, Mexico, Philippines, Sweden, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, and Malta.
...Well Nigeria is not a poor country, Mali is on that list and sometimes in history the Richest country in the world...undecided

Then if you remember professor Lumumba "Africa is on dinner table Eaten by Superpowers"
Let's also remember 'As you lay your bed...'

If you are the one, after you granted one during Obasanjo/Okonji-Iweala regime, you look at the Current Debt Profile, you discover majority are in Chinese Mandarin and the recklessness of those who incurred it,then you have no choice than to step it down.

Yes these guys all borrow, but over borrowing will only plunge the country into more deficit and especially when the borrowed cash is not put to sustainable use.

Debt relief will encourage more corruption,Nigeria has more than enough but most of our leaders are ravenous birds.

Why are you this stupid!!! They said grant not loan.... And the grant is given to only poor and vulnerable countries..

The question now is, "is Nigeria poor and vulnerable"?

Unfortunately you went on an ignorance spree of needless explanation. It is also the irresponsibility of Journalists who are not grounded and willfully publish misinformation that brings about needless arguments like this. The journalist simply regurgitated a 2020 news, even at that put it in wrong context

Do you know the reason why Nigeria is not on that list? It is because at at April 2020 when the list was considered, Nigeria was IMF-debt-free. Therefore there should have been and should be no discussion around Nigeria's exclusion or not being considered. When we should be praising the country for being responsible to have paid off all IMF indebtedness, you ignorant lots are castigating your country. Are you all this lame?

What you should know: Nigeria was never part of the countries indebted to IMF. Contrary to the news going viral, Nigeria’s exclusion from the list should have never been debated as the West African country is not owing the Fund https://nairametrics.com/2020/04/14/why-imf-excluded-nigeria-from-list-of-countries-granted-debt-relief/

True,Nigeria took a loan from the imf April 2020. before that , Nigeria wasn't indebted to the imf https://nairametrics.com/2020/04/29/imf-loan-to-nigeria-explained/
