NCC, April 4 (Iju Center): 

This year's Good Friday, which marked the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary for our systematic salvation, followed by Easter Sunday that marked the resurrection of Jesus for eternal Life was celebrated with religious fervor at New Covenant Church- Iju Center.

And this brief chat with resident Reverend Kayode Olufemi Bajomo who spoke on behalf of Iju Center proudly informs how NCC- Iju's celebration successfully went through inside the church auditorium in compliance with all recommended COVID-19 safety measures. 

Earlier on Good Friday to celebrate the trials of Jesus Christ , the New Covenant Church, Iju Center convened as one family to join the national grid via YouTube to conclude "It is Finished" (a 3 Days nationwide Fasting & Prayer programme) as a family which included worship session, special numbers, joint prayer session and refreshment.

Easter Sunday featured the celebration of love among members of the church to strengthen their journey of faith by engaging activities such as Hymn recitals (NCC Choir), interactive quiz, Bible gists, Thanksgiving session, egg race(Teams- Bro Emmanuel vs Pastor Sam) and a deep dive into the origins of the early church that featured love feasting in oneness as described in Acts 4vs32-35

Reverend K.O. Bajomo also addressed the issue of false brethrens and prophets as being stain in the love feast gathering. While describing the early church as original Christian communism "where everything owned by everybody belongs to everyone- not unlike in political communism".

More lessons garnered from the occasion include
I. Love is reciprocal
II. We shouldn't wait to be shown love, we should always be ready to show love.
III. One debt we can never finish paying off is the debt of love.
IV. One aspect of love is giving and never turn away someone in need.
V. On no account should a member of the House of God go to bed hungry.
VI. Sacrifice is a prominent language of love.

The occasion concluded with all-out feasting among Iju Center brethren to celebrate the resurrection of Christ and love within the Christ family. The day also featured special Church services, especially congregational hymnal singing, opening prayer with Pastor Sam Afolabi and Thanksgiving session by Pastor Oluyemisi Bajomo. The all-out feasting is the first of many this year to celebrate agape love within the Christ family.
