I made a comment about Igbo's having some prominent people in the world which includes DR Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and they descended on me and before I could reply they Banned me for a month and forgetting we could have 500 accounts here.

GAME CHANGER - SEE TINUBU LIKELY START FORMATION - 2023 PRESIDENTIAL LEAGUE

Welcome to your favourite weekly highlights on the likely forecast of matches as we move closer to the presidential champions league finals.

I am your dependable host, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah and today we are featuring a guest commentator on our show, permit me to introduce Ọmọ́gbọ́láhàn Babs.

All eyes will be on the APC as the party looks forward to its National Convention slated to be hosted sometime around June 2021, the turn out of events at the convention would determine which way the pendulum might swing when the party finally holds its presidential convention to determine who would fly the party's ticket in 2023.

Team Tinubu happens to be the favourite team in the competition with its star-studded squad. Pre-season trials have revealed a number of players that may likely feature in the group and knockout stages.

Prior to now, Team Tinubu has been sticking to the Tiki-Taka formation whereby the ball is 70 % in their possession.

Patterned after the famous Pep Guardiola's Barcelona team, team Tinubu's unique way of ball possession in dazzling its opponents with quick short passes, smart movements and intelligent interchange of players would make one place a bet on team Tinubu anytime any day.

I know punters are eagerly awaiting to find value in team Tinubu's current super form.

So here is the likely formation Team Tinubu may deploy to put up a strong showing at the championship according to Geopolitical zoning.

The South-South Zone.

Rivers State happens to be the only battleground in the South-South for team Tinubu, the minister of Transport Rotimi Ameachi seems to be on the fence, while Magnus Abe who is known to have a strong left foot and deft accurate through passes would deliver some votes.

Edo State with Adams Oshiomhole on the left full-back would guarantee a clean sweep of delegates, while Akpabio who happens to be a good central defender would handle Akwa Ibom with ease.

The minister of State for petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva is fully on the ground to defend the bloc votes from Bayelsa State. Known for his good volleys Sylva can be a dangerous marksman in the penalty area.

The ebullient and rugged Deputy Senate President, Omo-Agege from Delta State is fully signed to Team Asiwaju and a major pointsman in the team. His combo of drives facilitated with the good use of his right foot makes him a target to watch.

It is advisable two defenders are deployed to tackle Omo-Agege in other to avert stories that touch.

South-East Zone.

Here would experience a mild drama, physical political confrontation and deft manoeuvring. It would be a narrow edge.

With Gov Hope Uzodimma recognized as the leader of the APC in Imo then Tinubu is sure to carry Imo State.

Uzodimma may likely play the role of a sweeper, as a defensive player he may be located behind other defenders, with no major role, Uzodimma may just be in the last line of defence before the goalkeeper.

Ken Nmamani from Enugu State is a dependable ally of Tinubu, a slow pace player, Ken is dangerously known for the power of using both feet in heated matches.

Chris Ngige is always the man of the moment in Anambra, the labour minister is known for his dribbling skills, sliding tackles and wonderful bicycle kicks.

What fancies me about Ngige is the accuracy and intelligence he deploys in passing the ball and his movements both with and without the ball which eventually makes him overrun his opponents no matter the playing formation they deploy. Ngige is fully with Team Tinubu.

Orji Uzor Kalu from Abia State would work alongside the team. Tho he would come in as a substitute due to his own sensed presidential ambition as well. But give and take as a substitute it is expected that Orji Uzor Kalu would bring in the necessary ginger to galvanize support from Abia state.

Ebonyi State with David Umahi is unpredictable at the moment. Ebonyi would play THE ADVANTAGED LAW.(which means a clause in the law that directs the referee to refrain from stopping play for a foul if a stoppage would benefit the team that committed the violation)

If David Umahi realizes his ambition would not fly he would align with the winning candidate from the zone.

North Central Zone.

The angle of run in the North Central zone is fully towards a target on goal on the side of Team Tinubu.

Kwara, Benue, Niger, Nasarawa are all in team Tinubu's pouch. The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is a dependable force that would handle the central defence to the admiration of spectators, so good like Jay-Jay Okocha that he dethroned the Saraki's dynasty.

He's a good student of the Tiki-Taka formation, he can control the ball swiftly between player to player without a stop, fans and pundits always marvel at the awesome high-tempo passing game that always humiliates the opposing defenders.

Benue State has George Akume who is in charge of things. The Niger State Governor is on the same page with team Tinubu while Nasarawa is firm with the Jagaban.

Then take it from me authoritatively that Yahaya Bello is gunning for the presidency unless he makes a volte-face then Kogi can fall for Asiwaju.

Hmm, Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong is even considered for the vice presidential ticket. He would work for Team Tinubu.

North East Zone.

This is the most fascinating zone in the North, all gladiators from this region happen to have settled for team Tinubu.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawal, the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, Senator Kashim Shettima, Aisha Buhari, Nuhu Ribadu among a handful of others have their back for the Jagaban.

Then the Yobe State Governor and APC caretaker national chairman, Mai Mala Buni may play a last-minute joker and declare his support for Aṣíwájú.

North-West Zone.

The North-West Zone can be said to be a HOME FRONT except for Kebbi, Kaduna and Jigawa, while team Tinubu may drop points in these 3 States, the team is sure of full points from Katsina, Sokoto, Kano and Zamfara.

The trio of Ganduje, Masari, Senator Wammako will do the magic.

South-West.

The home of professionals, the tacticians and goal-getters, they pride themselves as the host of the champions league.

Here I would disagree with my colleague Ọmọ́gbọ́láhàn Babs on his forecast, for me it a two way battle in the South-West, it is either Tinubu or Osinbajo.

And whatever makes Tinubu declares then Osinbajo would bow out completely and lead the onslaught for the South-West.

A great team builder, Osinbajo is more like the Sergio Aguero type that seems unpopular with the spectators but always ends up getting the required goals to push the team to the next level.

Skilful with his heads and legs Osinbajo remains lethal when he handles the ball. No doubt he would make penetrable roads for team Tinubu when eventually the Jagaban declares for the Presidency.

The rest of the West will go for Team Tinubu except Èkìtì State where he has the likes of Senators Ojudu and Ọpẹ́yẹmí Bámidélé that will battle the gap-toothed Governor of the State.

Kayode Fayemi may not be able to sustain the tempo when he leaves office as the executive governor of Ekiti State.

In all, the odds still favour Team Tinubu to carry the Presidential ticket.
