A standard poultry establishment in Oyo state has job openings (in Ibadan / Fiditi precisely)for experienced Hatchery Assistant supervisors to fill in same position.
Please see below requirements;

Job Description
Ensuring strict implementation of biosecurity procedure as established by the management (e.g. type and frequency of disinfection).
Coordinating the attendants to perform hatchery operations (cleaning, candling, transfer and hatching).
Supervising of shifts (day and night).
Performing specific operation such as vaccination.
Support the supervisor in ensuring the timely completion of task assigned by the Hatchery Manager.
Egg stock taking and setter loading as determined by the Hatchery Manager.
Checking of setter and hatcher machines and reporting of abnormalities found in parameters (e.g. turning, temperature, humidity).
Measurement and calculation of data (e.g. egg/chick weights, water loss, shell temperature) and reporting to the Quality Control Manager.

Skills/Qualification
Minimum of 2 years in the hatchery industry.
Diploma or degree in agriculture or any science course is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of the computer e.g. MS word and Excel .
Physically strong with ability to stand for hours.
Ability to multitask and organize work efficiently.
Must be a team player (that takes all aspect of the hatchery important).
Willing to learn and grow on the job.
