I suspect that it has to do with the latest and increasing burning down of police stations and killing of uniformed officers by the IPOB terrorists.

To avoid lumping the innocent citizens with those actually funding the terrorists and bandits, DSS should have a full time section and personnel with CBN for realtime update on the funding of the terrorists activities. Our city was burnt by IPOB last year October following the instruction their leader gave them in his viral audio.May Lagos never experience such a coordinated arson by terrorists again.
May God bless Nigeria.

What about the accounts of those sponsoring Boko Haram and Bandits?

Holistic approach against all threats to the security of our nation should be taken and not selective.

How does saving in forex and Crypto become a case for insecurity?

All of them. All the bank and social media accounts of all the enemies of Nigeria should be closed whether north or south. Enough is enough for unpatriotic elements.
Like lepers, hey can't build but can destroy if we allow them.

I think there's a connection if they are actually being investigated for terrorism. Funds moved through crypto can escape the detection of CBN and could end up in the hands of terrorists.
The CBN got the judgement to demand the owners of the accounts to come forward. So the due process has been met.

Una dey read for this country.

This has nothing to do with insecurity.

You saw an igbo name, the next thing it must be insecurity related, the real estate business account was also freezed is owned by a yoruba.

Can't you see this case is mostly connected with forex fraud and money laundering that involved a CBN staff that is an assistant manager.

the investigation was connected to a female who is an ‘Assistant Manager of the CBN, Central Business District, Oluwatoyosi Suwebat Oladipo’.

Owners of companies account freezed by CBN

1.Albert Austin Ugochukwu with 2 bank accounts,

2.Belfour Energy & Allied Services, Belfour Oil and Gas Limited with 3 bank accounts ( owned by Albert Austin Ugochukwu)

3. Circle Flow Integrated Services,( owned by Austin Ugochukwu Albert)

4.Kacynaus Reality Nigeria Limited with 3 bank accounts ( owned by ibukun adedayo adebayo)

5.Tasmara Integrated Services.( also owned by Austin Ugochukwu Albert)

This case has to do with money laundering and forex fraud.

Austine Ugochukwu is an ex banker that worked in GtB, he laundered about $667,000 through his various companies in 2019. This case also implicated GtB MD.
