*Elect Leaders with programs, not ethnicity and religion- Olawepo Hashim*

As politicians continue to jostle ahead of 2023 general election, a former Presidential Candidate, Mr Gbenga Olawepo Hashim has called on the Nigerian people to elect leaders on the basis of their programs, character and antecedents, not based on ethnicity and religion.

In a post on his Facebook social media page, the infrastructure investment and energy tycoon, who is a leading advocate for national unity stated that, for anyone who desires progress and development, the considerations to elect a leader must be vision, character, antecedent and program, not ethnicity not religion.

Hashim, who contested to be Nigeria's president in 2019 with solid economic plan and a promise to create a $4 trillion economy has been advocating for devolution of power to state and local government, arguing that empowering state and local government would create efficiency and make the country better.

Buhari too has program now. Jihad, Fulanization, Amnesty, and projects to the north.
