The Co-chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace and President Vision Africa International, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has described Nigeria as a Nation under life support.

The Methodist Bishop, who was reacting to different turbulent situations confronting the country, called on Nigerians to provide all medical support needed to heal the country from colossal destruction.

The Global Peace Award Winner, 2013, who has always lent his voice to issues of national security stated that it is time for men and women of good conscience to put resources together and salvage Nigeria from total collapse.

Bishop Dr. Onuoha, revealed that Nigeria as a country, has gone from bad to worse, adding that despite the situation the country finds itself, men and women of great repute can still salvage it. He said some countries of the world at some point, had worse situations like Nigeria today, pointing out that such problems were solved through the collaboration of all and sundry.

In his words," Nigeria is a great Nation with human and capital resources if well harnessed, I do not believe that the country is completely doomed. What is needed in our great Nation, is the collaboration of man and women of great repute so that Nigeria can shake off all the encumbrances, including banditry, kidnapping, insurgency, abduction among others.

It is not a task that is so difficult to attain, but requires understanding and a feeling that we do not have a country outside Nigeria, hence the need to sheath our swords and embrace dialogue which remains the best weapon to surmount different upheavals of life including the one daring us in the face as a nation and people."

Bishop Dr. Onuoha, called on Governments at all levels, lawmakers among others, to refrain from making statements that will cause disaffection, calling on them to embrace the path of dialogue so as to address various misgivings and agitations in the country.
