The Convener of Yoruba Mandate Group, Akogun Banji has reacted against those agitating for the Independence of the Yoruba nation.

In his words, Akogun Banji Ojo described the agitation as a clear distraction towards the 2023 general election as the region needs to start thinking strategically in order to have a stronghold in the 2023 general elections.

Akogun Banji Ojo stated that the Yoruba Nation needed to endorse a Yoruba candidature from the South West that will support the ideas and concerns of the region through dialogue which would also give room for restructuring towards the development of the Yoruba Nation.

"For the Yoruba Nation to take place, some processes would be needed for full implementation which is rather too rigorous.
Some include a United Nations referendum, about a 50million signatures to support the struggle, and probably ammunitions in the event of war breakout which might ultimately lead to famine.
These criteria are rather destructive hence the need for a working agenda for progress and development of the Yoruba Nation". Akogun Banji Ojo explained.

From his stupid comment, we can still pick some good advice. He mentioned the Signature that is required from the Yorubas. There should be a think tank off individuals that should be thinking about how to manage this without the Usual Nigerian factor.Secondly..Is securing the SW with food and ensuring that they do not starve should in case the Fulani through the Fed govt decide to block food passages.

Secondly, is there ground design on how the Oduduwa nation will run? is it through Parliamentary or unitary system of govt..?

Have you guys noted down Nigerias' mistake and plans to be put in place in order to avoid such fundamental problems?

What do you intend to sell in the international market for your currency to be strong and traded with in that market?

What do you intend to do with your current corrupt and wicked leaders, who have been useless in their duties as leader in your region? Have you guys considered the issues that once cause and still causing disagreements and wars among the Yoruba tribes? Then penning these fundamental factors down and put as priority as something to be addressed before forming a country. These are the things people should be doing at the back-end. Which must be communicated to the Yorubas' people for a renewed and clearer vision of their new country.
This can now be launch out officially, knowing that you guys have done your home work of floating your new country by using your brave activist Igboho and others to run the campaign of secession.

Pls you guys should carry on, becos it is better to be in a smaller country and live with dignity than to be in a big country like Nigeria with nothing to write home about. Nigeria is a big for nothing country..the only good thing out of this country are the extra ordinary performance of our citizens outside the shores of this country. Which has help in telling the world that we are not all, dull, stupid and inefficient.

However, if there is a genuine plan for a fast restructuring of Nigeria(not audio restructuring), I think it will be fare for the Yorubas agitators and the Igbos to give it a try. At least we will all now all start living in our various region at a pace that each region chooses to go, without anyone holding them back.

However, If the North chooses to grow religion above every other factors that can make their region progress, then so be it and it behooves any southerner living there to abide by their laws without complaining .

Thank you for the robust response! There is a blueprint on which the Yoruba nation would run. The criminal gangs benefiting from one Nigeria are scraed of their future in a Yoruba nation.
In the next 10 years after division, the Northern part of Nigeria would become a war torn zone, and their citizens would seek assylum in the Southern states.
Our hospitals in the South would be the best and it would provide treatment for the Northern leaders who fail to invest in the health sector...

That if you guys do away with old and selfish politicians right now.And to achieve this, you guys have to find a way to do away with money politics .If not these old thieve will still be in the corridor of power.
Finally, That the north zone will be war turn country? well, most likely, but not a full scale war. There are definitely going to be some crises and oppression of the minority Christians and other ethnic groups there. This is after Sharia law must have been fully implemented.
How they choose to manage this crisis will determine if the North will ever experience peace in their life time. I sha know that if the south decide to leave Nigeria today, some part of the middle belt ( with less Muslim fundamentalist ) would likely want to join the south.

The old and selfish politicians will soon meet their waterloo. Money politics has destroyed our nation and the masses are suffering in this contraption.
