Nigeria is not yet a serious country.

Just take it like that, even the president and 80% of it's political leaders have dual citizenship because they don't trust the future of the country

Well, as a Ghanaian, I am very proud. I am also very proud of Nigeria, our brothers, as well. These are very difficult decades for Nigeria but hopefully things would get better someday. Both Nigeria and Ghana should be far ahead of where they are now. Let's compare both countries to other countries they gained independence with around the same time...eg Malaysia etc. Do you know that some decades ago Ghana had a better GDP than South Korea? Well what's the situation now? We can all do better.

Ghana isn't immune to maladministration too and underdevelopment still plague the last. Nigeria is ten times ahead of Ghana but the attitude of foreign investor is an attempt suppress the strength of Africa biggest economy. When Obama snubbed Nigeria in 2009, we had not been this entrenched in Boko Haram crisis. He initiated all these

Facts!

When everyone agrees theirs an iq issue, we can begin to address the issues systemically.

Infact i can put all the extreme behaviour in Nigeria to low iq , from criminality, corruption, feminism, lack of productivity, cultural decadence and misplaced priorities all points toward the same thing.
I have been saying this since that we have low IQ. We thought that cutting corners means being smart

We also have very low self esteem. This make us wanna prove ourselves more to ourselves and others.

If you meet a Nigerian outside, he will ask you which tribe, if you are from the same tribe he will ask you what state so to know how to approach you
See other sub Saharan Africans meeting for the first time, shame go catch you.
They will form comradaire immediately.

What concerns Ipob in this matter ? Did the Ipob tell your useless leaders not to do the right thing and progress? You foolish idiot. When Ipob warned you people about this idiot APC government, you didn't listen because of your hatred of the igbos, now you are reaping what you sowed. There is inequality all over the world but we no get shame and self worth. Religion killed us psychologically.
Both the rich and poor.

That's a discussion for another day.
We never believed we are good enough. Always looking for validation from outsiders.

Ghana may have also taken some strides at development, but in no way would it have compared to Nigeria given its human and material resources.

No country is immune to maladministration. But comparatively, you are even funny trying to compare Nigeria to Ghana. And you said that Nigeria is ten times ahead of Ghana? Lol. What did you eat this morning?

As you can see from my comment, I don't even want to compare the two countries because we have a long way to go.

Lame comparison truth be told.

That they are gaining from their big brother does not suggest that they're better than their big brother. That should never enter their brain because if Nigeria coughs now, they will understand what am talking about.

Yet you are the poverty capital of the world?

Do you know it's very easy for a Ghanaian to wake up one day, decide to travel to country of his choice with his family?
Can you, a Nigerian try that without passing through so much bottlenecks?

Accept it, Nigeria is F.

As long as nigeria is being controlled by northerners, it will continue, what di you expect from a country which said they will prefer a person with nepa bill as qualification to a phd holder, sadly this statement was made by educated zombies

Since after yaradua Nigeria started do fail and retrogress. It started from Jonathan and Buhari only worsened it.

Jonathan didn’t not do better than his predecessors. Same with Buhari. Backward leaders except for Jonathan slight improvement on fair elections system which he lost.

The main thing Nigeria needs are
Security
Transparency in government&
24/7 electricity

IF THESE CAN BE PUT IN PLACE, TRUST ME NIGERIA WOULD NOT ONLY BECOME BETTER THAN GHANA BUT BETTER THAN MOST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD

Guy all your points are valid except the Twitter HQ and Obama visiting part. You make it seem like "Western validation" equals socio-political and economic advancement. That's the erroneous low self esteem thinking of African nation's (except northern Africa). Even FDI. Of what use is FDI when we don't have adequate economic structures in place to maximize value created by foreign cash inflows, retain the value, circulate the money effectively to sectors where it can generate the maximum utility as well as satisfy the economic need of the working populace? We are just here screaming FDI! cluelessly.
However, we need to give the younger generation of Nigerians some applause especially concerning their exploits in the fintech sector even in foreign academia. it's no mean feat.
So don't just write Nigeria off yet.
PS: Twitter is not even a really profitable company.

There is brazen disobedience for due process, stifling of press freedom, arrest of oppositions on trump up charges and abuse of human rights through the use of coercive apparatus of the state.Millions of Nigerians are living in fear because of state intimidation. We have return to the days of military junta....."

I love your banta, telling the truth!
How can a Nation move forward when those that should be making decisions are only looking at how to benefits! Is that the way the USA,Europe, Great Britain, Israel and even Dubai is made, they wouldn't be where they are today.
When Osinbajo launched the case of ease of doing business during the 3-months Buhari Medical traivail and at the same time moved cris- crossed Nigeria, including Niger-Delta; the sacking of the then DSS Director, our Cabals at ASO Rocks concocted fallacies 'Osinbajo is wielding too much power' and the resultant effects, sideline him and let the Disaster Humanitarian Affairs have half of his job.But unknown to Nigerians, the World is watching things in Nigeria, even the ease of doing Business they Twitter is using against Nigeria today.
- Abuja is now a shadow of Think-Thank but for sharing our collective resources only, abi! But even if Abuja fails, why can't other States be a Model to follow for younger generation !
- You hardly heard anything investments discourse from Private Sector again,as no investments friendliness is coming from the Legislatures, Executives and even sound Judicial Pronouncements that would normally send the Academicians to Classroom for more research work on our laws are gone!.For many of us remembered the Justice Oputas, the Justice Akinola Agudas, the Irikefes, etc.
We are in year 2021 average Politicians are after 2023 matters, as if it is three- days time!
- No regular lights,no good roads and no inter- State Rail-lines that can reduce the Stressful Citizens life style that eventually impact on their life span.
-When last did you hear about our Budget Performances from the States and even Federal Govt and it's Agencies!
- When last did you hear about Ministerial Briefings on their respective Portfolios?
-What Economy Planning are we now- Short Term, Medium or Long? Did some of you hear about Vision 2020- during Abacha? So what happens since to that Vision?
If you think the White Man has no statistics of happenings in Nigeria, then you are jokers!
Ghana has been celebrating decades of 24/7 Lights. So is Twitter justified? Ghana Population is 34Milion,but Nigeria is over 200 Millions.Wao!
So,What do you want the World to do when you can't fix your problems, even common roads and light issues, for INDUSTRIALIZATION!
Just Negodu!

The Future Of Africa?

If Ghana is the future of Africa then future of Africa is a return to Slavery or at best colonialism, similar to the position of French West Africa.

I just laugh when people attribute the challenges in Nigeria to Buhari. Sincerely Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria and not Buhari.

I have some Ghanian partners...they are humble and honest. I have been placing order from them without any record of fraud.

The numbers of Criminals in Nigeria is alarming. Mention it; Civil servants, public servants, artisans, traders, polictians and even religion leaders.

If we don't change our attitude by upholding interity...no president can fix this country.
Oga just count yourself lucky. My daughter was duped by her Ghanian supplier of a particular Herbal products for treatment of fibroid among other diseases. There are fraudulent people everywhere. Beside, you can't just compare a country with over 200 million people with another one that has less than that of Lagos State.

Misplaced priorities and IQ challenges is one of the things keeping Nigeria backward.Yes underdevelopment still plague Ghana, Nigeria has fertile ground for market, but the foreign investors still need a place that is safe and sure for their investment,When you deprave your citizens or people, you must expect them to react and fight back and then, from that, you let hell loose and cause comatose in your own home country.
