Facebook is opening its second African office in Lagos, Nigeria

Global tech giant, Facebook has announced plans for a Nigeria office which is to be located in the country’s commercial and tech hub, Lagos. This is coming four years after the CEO, Mark Zuckerberg visited the country.

The office location is expected to be secured and become operational between now and the second half of 2021. During the said period, although not confirmed, the company will probably begin the recruitment of a team of engineers, sales, partnership, policy, and communication.

As revealed by Ime Archibong, Facebook’s Head of New Product Experimentation, this attraction is from the pool of tech talents within the country. Indeed, this points to an extensive intake of more local talents in the coming months.

Operations from the new Lagos office is anticipated to boost growth in sub-Saharan African nations. The team will be responsible for building African-focused products while contributing to the growth of the African tech ecosystem.

The investment of the new Facebook office follows the 2018 opening of NG_Hub, its first flagship community hub space in Africa

Look at this JJC, FB opened its first HUB space in Africa right here in Lagos Nigeria, now they are topping its office with another physical offic e and presence.

Asides from infrastructural development, Facebook has been involved in African talent building. In 2018, it launched NG_Hub in partnership with CcHub.

For Mark business, what can Nigerians benefits apart from Tax the company will pay to government which cannot be use for betterment of Nigerians.

Facebook knew he will be making much money in Nigeria through advertisement.

Unlike Twitter that hope to stay at Ghana and woo Nigerians to do advertisement through their media company while Ghana government receive Tax, he requested to employ a Nigeria as part of staff to work in Ghana, he just do that to confuse Nigerians that he love them but in other way round he's only interested in quantity of advertisement Nigerians will be doing through their company.

Facebook is wise by deciding to deal with Nigeria directly. But he's mugu by investing his money in rice business in Kaduna which only ends in pepper. So he's in recovery mission also
