Water baptism is not just a religious ritual, it is an initiation into the mainstream of God.

Jesus didnt start anything until He was baptized, as powerful as He was; in as much as He's the Son of God and came in the image of God. He needed to go through the process of water baptism before He emerged into the assignment that God called Him to do.

It means after our confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and repentance from sins, the passage into the mainstream of God is water baptism.

You have not entered inside God until you're baptized by immersion.

If Jesus had to do it, then you have to do it and if we have to do it because Jesus had to do it, it must have a significance that is tied to God; an importance imputed in God.

Quoting Papa Oyedepo "anyone not baptized by immersion may miss rapture and not see God".

Water baptism grants us access into the power of God. It is supreme obedience to God because its a demand from God that we go through water baptism.

Your confession of faith is not complete without the process of water baptism.
