I have said it that the Muhammadu Buhari led administration does not know how to communicate business policy to the business community, they just wake up one day and take a rather draconian policy that may have dire concequences on the economy. Last year when the whole economy was on a mandatory lockdown, govt of the day should have made provisionally plans for farmers and people around the food value chain so that the food economy would not be disrupted. They rather kept quiet and thought things would ease up till it spun out of control.

this present FG has paralyzed this country from their poor economic policies to bad leadership I am on Jo's Plateau..I just went to the with 5k and I can't bring home anything
.before now 2013 when I was in the University, my parents send 5k for me every month and I used that till end of the month to buy foodstuffs and other things

I remember when some educated people were saying Nigeria should devalue it's currency to become productive.

They'll read theories but can't interprete.

In a sense this is good as Nigeria need's some big awakening event to straighten people's thinking faculties.

Currency devaluation works in an economy that produces locally. A very good example is China. You see, one of the reasons we are complaining today is that we run a dollar economy.
That is, we import almost everything.

So, with one dollar hitting almost #500, it means that most of the things we import will be costly because they use USD to buy.

If the woman who sells pumpkin finds out that the things she used to buy #20 has increased to #30, she has to increase the price of her pumpkin to survive. So the vicious cycle continues.
