Uefa has only itself to blame. Keep changing formats catering to smaller teams meanwhile big teams are buying expensive players, costs are getting higher and to spoil things, Covid during 2020 meant no ticket sales, even Abrahamovic felt it in his pockets. Whether Uefa likes it or not, the big teams will not stand by and watch themselves fall into financial ruin, even tho most fans don't undertsand, las las everyone of us go dey alright grin grin

Those of you shouting greed should go back and find out how the current EPL came to be. Most European countries have seen copied that format so all these is nothing new.
They should call a meeting with them and talk them out of it cos if they decide to push ahead with it, there is nothing the fa, uefa or fifa can do about.
Keep your world cup and gaddamn leagues so long I get paid

Players need medals and trophies and not only money

It's purely greed that is making the big six opt for this. After these is settled, they need to be sanctioned to serve as deterrent for a reoccurrence

Do you even understand the whole issue?

Empty stadiums etc have forced these clubs into a lot of debts.
Don't forget they have players they pay large sum of money, if there are no fans to generate money from, where will they get funds to pay the players from? Owners personal money?

They complained that UEFA is paying them little amount compared to what they generate from the competition.

Reason it this way.

A club signs a big name player with many fans, the player follows the club to play in a competition which his fans will probably watch because their fave is playing in the competition.
UEFA generate money through views, TV rights etc, while the club don't because the stadium is empty, the club will be the one to pay the player, foot the transportation, lodging and other bills, pay the domestic staffs, etc

At the end UEFA pays they little amount that can't even pay off the players 1 month or 2 months salary.

UEFA is catching out where they didn't work.

Deduct points from the 6 clubs let them go play in 1st division. The premier league provided the platform for these clubs to become huge.

Very intelligent comment.....the big clubs are simply telling FIFA and Uefa ,that they raised their children and not them.

How's it greed. Football is a business to the investors not about merry making. How can a business owner example real madrid invest $billion in a team and at the end of a tournament you give an unreasonable fraction of money to them.

UEFA president who runs this competition has no stake in football world apart from being a president. But a certain Perez who has a stake of billions invested in Madrid doesn't even take reasonable share, same goes to the other big clubs. All they want it up the pay. The so called big clubs are the reason for all these money uefa is making. So as a business owner if uefa can't up their money game, it's better to source funds elsewhere.

Instead of English FA to humble herself and beg the big six to back down on their planned new league, they r busy making mouth bla bla bla.If those top 6 leave, the EPL will lost its fan base all over the world.Who will go n pay money to watch Westbroom play with Fulham?
The FA should thread carefully.
