It’s hard to miss the striking new addition to the JHB CBD .

I've seen it up-close. Hard to believe it's the largest in Africa - I guess the standards are really low on the continent.

Aerial shots look cool though. I remember there was a plan to cover all the train tracks with overhanging parks and sidewalks. Wonder what happened to that.

hahahaha This development could have been much better designed but it's a big development for the CBD

Covering the tracks and freeing up all that prime real estate will happen during the next boom; we need to grow at least 5-6% for a few years for that to become a reality.

It's still cordoned off so I haven't seen the state-of-the-art bits they are talking about, but it's not a bad design at all. I was just disputing the size.
