I've been married for over a decade,my MIL is late, she died before we got married. Her photo frame has been hanging in our sitting room since we got married and follows us wherever we go.

Of all marital issues, it's photo frame I have to worry about.I no get work be that.

There is this common feud between some mother-in-laws and wives that is still a mystery which gave rise to this question. grin

Ladies, if your mother-in-law is still alive, how would you feel if your husband hangs pictures of her on the wall? I can understand if she is dead but alive, would you welcome it ?

Dummy but you would like your son to put your own frame pic but you won't another person to put his own mother

I dont see myself marrying a woman that will not take my mother as her first mother while her biological mother comes second.

Anything other than this won't be easy I tell you.

I Wouldn't feel bad if he hangs pictures of his mum on the wall. I would gladly bring out pictures of my own mum and dad and also hang on the walls. With that, our kids can easily identity their grandparents. kiss

A wife I married with my money like a typical African man has no right to determine what goes in my house!

Even if I chose to place my mum's framed pictures on every wall in my house, my wife has no choice than to accept my decision.

Maybe only you should live in the house..it’s not by force to get married because when I’m married the house becomes ours.
you can get lost if you don't feel comfortable with my mother's picture hanging on the wall in my own house. Them Never born you well. You mean the woman that has me in her for 9 whole months, give birth to me, took care of me till I became the man you think I am. Then you that I just met probably in just few years will now become more important than my mom that I will not hang her photo on my own house wall. I sure say you dey dream. You can leave for all I care and when you get home, tell your people that you left cuz I hung my mother's photo on my own house wall. Call me mommy's boy, you will be highly welcomed cuz if not her, I wouldn't be alive today.

so because a man marry you, he should discard his mom abi? Aunty you are 1001 percent replaceable and my mom isn't. If you don't like it like that, you can move. My mom's picture must be on my wall and there is nothing you can do about it if you happen to be my wife. You can only grumble and that's all or you go your papa house

Upset because of mere picture? You guys take some of this things too serious. My grandma's picture is still hanging in our sitting room despite she's late and I never met her and my mum never talked about it for a day. I wonder where you guys meet the kind of women that make you draw such conclusions.
when you see a well raised girl, you will definitely know from their comments. Wish I can like your comment twice. You get sense, well cultured and your parents really did a good job bringing you up.

How old are you? Are you married? Do you have children? Have you ever been woken up in the middle of the night by cry of a baby for you to just carry the child and stand all through the night and when you try to sleep the child back on the bed he/she starts crying again? Have you ever go hungry just to make sure your children eat? Have ever had the pains of child bearing? Have you ever stayed awake all through the night just to look after your sick child? Nne, I'm sorry but you are mad. I pray whatever you wish your mother inlaw comes back to you in many folds when you become mother inlaw tomorrow. Abi you think say you go dey young forever or you no go get your own daughter in-laws?

Oga Methuselah, any girl that says you shouldn't hang your mom's photo on your own house wall is capable of doing anything to you. Besides, they are the ones that said they will leave if the photo is hung on wall. No body dey divorce them o. Besides, instead of violence, e better make everybody his or her way, after all, no be Bill Gate wey be billionaire sef and public figure and his wife just got divorced? E no better like that than say one person kill the other one?

Why would the MIL's picture be framed on the wall?

I thought picture frames showcased the husband wife(s) and children? undecided
what is wrong with that please? Any family members picture could be on the wall. This generation of females with their insecurity and selfishness.

It’s not easy to be a mother, Right? Now imagine doing all that and then someone says your child should put you in second place after their own mom. Makes sense?

proclinician:
I dont see myself marrying a woman that will not take my mother as her first mother while her biological mother comes second.

Or do you emotional boys think only your own moms suffered through motherhood? Other people’s mom don’t count?

@bold, you’re crying because? grin

Imagine being this emotional about your own mother but don’t understand why it sounds crappy to think that someone else should put their mom second after yours?

You rushed like a crazed person to quote me and rant without reading the comment I was responding to. Smh
