Secretary General and Head of Mission, west African Youth Congress, Ambassador Mohammed Ahmed Marafa condemned the attacks on the Minister of communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami.

According to him Shaik Pantami is a blessing to Nigeria, a son of the soil who meant well for Nigerians that the country needs to support in all ramifications.

Marafa said the recent attacks on the Islamic scholar turned Minister base on his past sermons which he recanted all the messages he preached in the past Nigerians should, he sounded sorry and became contrite on his past views.

The Youth leader said Nigerians should rally round Pantami to ensure the ongoing restructuring in the Communication industry succeeded.

He said Ali is fighting giants as corrupt Nigerians holding the grip of communications industry and Digital Economy to their advantage and are invariably becoming the enemies of the country.

He revealed that it is corruption that's fighting Pantami back despite his convincing fact of recanting his past views on terrorism and Boko Haram as a young and inexperience preachers of Islamic doctrines.

"Communication industries was a milking cow of so many corrupt Nigerians, a money making venture which the larger society is not a direct beneficiary of the ministry but a selected few have taken over the place for their personal gains."Marafa said

Ahmed worry that Ali's efforts in bringing a lot of innovation to the communication industry where he introduced the linking of NIN numbers is a big success and be commended.

" This young is reviving the place that's more of desolate land with no result yielding to the benefit of general Nigerian Masses. Dr. Pantami past views became an unforgiving crime just because he refused accepting their Bribes and usuall ways of dancing to their tunes to defraud Nigerians." He added


He continued to say that this is the same Man is helping in fighting criminals and insurgents using communication devices to perpetrate heinous crimes by deregistered about 10million fraudulent Sim cards of corrupt individuals

"He brought another way of ending insurgency which made the then leader of the deadly sect group, Mohammed Yusuf to attack Ali when he was preaching against his skewed perception of Islamic doctrines.

We ought to have appreciated this Man's efforts. Is on record that on several occasions Pantami engaged late Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram that is holding Nigeria peace into ransom on so many debates, challenging his wrong way of brainwashing Nigeria Youths using wrong teachings. Blackmailing him will not give Nigerians what we want at this time that we need peace and Unity on purpose."
