We need community policing to take effect in this country fully. No day goes by without killing, this is worrisome. Community policing will solve a lot of crimes in our society.

We must have State and Local Government Police immediately

If Buhari is still fast asleep the State Governors should set them up themselves at once

Yeah. That is the thing and there must be corporation between security officers and the residents of the community as regards to giving adequate information; this will yield positive result in curbing the menace.

Why then have d military not cooperated with Sheik Gumi to locate d hideout of bandits so they can be eliminated? What is so special about locating bandits that Gumi could achieve which all d security forces in nigeria haven't been able to achieve?

THE BEST WAY FORWARD IS TO CORRECT THE INJUSTICE IN NIGERIA.

Let have a system where all sections of Nigeria can claim a sense of belonging to the federation.

Hausa/Fulani don too oppress for far too long.

They tend to see Nigeria from their own ideology.

This was not the Nigeria Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Late Sir, Ahmadu Bello ( Sauduana ) fought for.

The north is now laying claim to southern resources, land, water, crude oil etc

All the federal positions has been hijacked by a section of the country.

Why hasn't he resigned?

This administration does not have what it takes to get through this debacle of insecurity, economic challenges and getting the country ready for growth. Moreover ; we have a president who is aloof and a Vice President office that is for photo ops. When next we cast votes ; if we ever have the opportunity to do so, it is going to be “existential” vote. Gray hair does NOT equal leadership and the smarts needed to run a 21st economy and lead 120million people. Look to verifiable expertise/experience until then let’s hope we don’t slip into the abyss. Do you really think these two guys have ANYTHING to offer as workable solution that anybody can count on?....disappointed!

First step is reviewing the exclusive list in the constitution to give more developmental powers to the regions to explore their resources in the best ways they think and pay a percentage to FG. Of course FG retains national security and NPF regulating community policing to dilute ethnicity-driven abuses. In any case, we have Switzerland, Canada, US, etc. to look at to adopt what is best for us given our peculiarities.

But it is more effective to have Federal rules and regulations to govern the exploration and exploitation of the natural resources than a tapestry of state rules and regulations governing how to tap into resources. For example, wouldn't it be unwise for oil companies to spend extraordinary expenses on transactional costs to obtain the same set of licenses and permits from different states instead of just one?!

Community policing cannot deal with Boko Haram, ISWAP and ESN. It will be a joke to think so.
