SPEAK THE GOD WAY

Rom.4.17 - As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

A lady went to Pastor younggi Cho's office one day, and began narrating how wayward her daughter was. Cho just looked at her and smiled, then he shared a spiritual principle from the scripture above.

He asked her to get a sheet of paper and write those good virtues she would love to see in her daughter's life. He then told her to say those thing's out loud every day, thanking God.

She did as she was told and read those things out loud. Her perspective of her daughter began to change. One night the daughter came home crying, asking for forgiveness and she got saved.

Speak the God way, say what you want to see as if you have it already. He said; I have made thee, main while the man(Abraham) was dead barren. Faith is expressed through word's 2Cor4:13,life and death are at the mercy of the tongue pro18:21

1. Faith is not expressed in words else the dumb are out of luck. Not a single place in the Bible are we told faith has to do with what you say with your mouth. Instead it is those who already have faith stored up that can the command mountains to move. If you have no faith previously, you can bark all you want, nothing will happen. undecided

2. The saying/proverb that the power of life and death are on the tongue have a context to it that is popular ignored.by those who will use it to further whatever jargon teaching they wish. In this word, you can speak as even pray for death for as many times as you want, but death will not come on your own schedule, why? Because God has not put the literal power over death in anyone's tongue. I know this lesson very well. undecided

3. What the woman in your story did with writing and speaking out what she wanted has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ. According to Jesus Christ, your faith, not your claims, is what pleases God and according to the Bible, Faith is instead the cumulative works done in submission and obedience to the commands, rules give by God. undecided

We know all too well that there are many out there who do not belong to Jesus Christ yet are able to heal, cast out demons and even prophesy - Jesus Christ warned us severally about those. We should not let ourselves be swayed by the signs and wonders they do that we bemd the truth of God in order to accommodate their lies, lies that have nothing to do with Jesus Christ, the Truth of God. undecided

You see, you made some points up there.

Faith is not Obedience, though it takes faith to obey. Heb11:1, gives us a clear definition of faith; the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of thing's not seen. Obedience is obedience, faith is faith.

Secondly, Jesus taught the principles of faith. Mark 11: 23&24. He said we should believe we have received when we pray, and we shall have it physically. He even said we should speak to mountains, believing that what we say would come to pass, we shall have what we say.

Thirdly, Jesus recognized the faith of the woman with the issue of blood and announced to all that her faith made her whole. She so much believed touching Jesu's clothes would heal her, that she said it. I believe she said that to her self continuously over a period of time because her faith drained the anointing on Jesus at that time. Mark 5:25-34

Now these are not new teachings but are what is written in the word.
2Cor.4.13 - We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

1. Contrary to popular doctrines, Hebrews 11 does not provide you with a definition for Faith but instead tells you about/describes faith... there is a very big difference between defining something and talking about/describing something. undecided

In Hebrews 11, the writer attempts to describe the part faith plays in regards to answers to prayers. And in doing so,compares to it substance of that which we seek/ask/knock for implying that faith is tangible exchange , evidence that we truly yearn to received answers to that which we ask/seek/knock for. undecided

2. The same Jesus Christ that said that in Mark, also said that those who abide in Him, and He will abide in, and that it is then that He will do for them all they ask that their joy maybe made full. Jesus Christ also said seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His His Righteousnes, and then all these things shall be added to you. Just as you don't take just the pieces of what your boss says to you, so also you should never just take that part of God's teaching that you like, ignoring the rest thinking you have His Truth. undecided

When James said something like "you have not because you ask amiss..." , He did not mean that what you ask is against the Will of God, as is with the popular doctrine on this. No, James was instead speaking against the practice of picking only parts of Jesus Christ's teachings on a topic while ignoring the others. undecided

The same Jesus Christ made it clear that the promises He brings are not for everyone, but instead for those who submit to and obey His teachings and commandments. Those are the ones who will recieve good(righteous) things from the Father , those who will recieve God's righteousness. And we know that these are people who submit and obey, their faith linked to their obedience of God. . undecided
Even scripture tells you that without faith, it is impossible to please God, and from Genesis to Revelation, we know that God is only pleased by our obedience of His statutes, laws and rules. undecided

3. Do you know that Jesus Christ healed a lot of our people who did not even believe in Him at all - in John 9, the man who was born blind did not even know who Jesus Christ was at the time of His healing, yet He was healed, proving that one did not need to "mentally assent", what you call "believe" in order to be healed and made whole. undecided

Now, coming back to the women with the issue of blood, can you please point to definite statement in that story that links the woman's faith, the one spoken of by Jesus Christ, to the thought the woman had in her heart right before touching Jesus Christ? I am quite aware that, again, popular doctrine attempts to link the two but a careful examination of the passages about the woman point to that resulting from a leap and nothing else. undecided

4. What exactly is a Spirit of faith and where in the teachings of Jesus Christ are told of such a spirit? undecided

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are called the gospels. They are not written directly to Christians, but for Evangelistic purpose. You can't just take a scripture from the gospels and teach believers because the people at that setting were not born again, So there must be a correspondent in the Epistle's. John20:31

Now you talk about abiding in Christ which is the fundamental. You must abide in Christ. But you see, abiding in Christ without knowing the Principles of Christ in regards to answer prayer's, in mark 11:23&24, won't get the Job done. if it wasn't necessary, Jesus wouldn't have said it.

Even as you love following the teachings of Christ in just the gospels, also endeavour to not only take one part and refuse the other.

1. In the Gospels, you are commanded against installing yourself as a teacher to anyone who believes. In Matthew 23, Jesus Christ declared that He alone is the Teacher/authority/counselor/Master over those who belong to Him. If you, who claim to believe Him , do not even know this, what are you "evangelizing"? undecided

2. Jesus Christ is the New Covenant, the Law where the Kingdom of God is concerned. To abide in Him is to know His Truth (Law) , submit to and obey His teachings and commandments. See John 15. There are no "principles" where prayer is concerned as the key to receiving anything from God, who knows what you ask even before you ask it, is obedience and not prayer. For prayer , Jesus Christ instructs you to simply say the Lord's prayer -do you think Jesus Christ was stupid when He declsred that? undecided
If you, a one who claims to be of Him, do not even know this at this point, what are you "evangelizing"? undecided

3. You are called by Jesus Christ to put your trust in and obey His own teachings.... not the teachings of men even His disciples. Jesus Christ is the New Covenant agreement God promised to make between Himself and each one of us. He is the Law we are each called to live by as people of the Kingdom of God. If you refuse to learn and obey the Law but instead abide by and put your trust instead in the words and doctrines of men, do you expect God to reward your disobedience? undecided
Again... if you who claim to believe do not even understand the place of the Word/ Truth of God, Jesus Christ's very teachings, the Law of God, in your life, how can you be expected to tell others of it? undecided

you are taking one part and leaving the others. the same Jesus not Paul said; whatever you "desire" when you pray believe you receive them, and yea shall have them. you can obey from now till next year, if you don't apply these principles in prayers it won't work.

You talked about the Lord's prayer. Now when you are in the face of imminent danger you pray the Lords prayer right? Or in need you pray the Lords prayer. Am not going to talk much about this but Jesus said in John14:14 telling us to ask in his name, and he will do it. He said ask and receive that your joy will be full. He is giving us another kind of prayer which is a prayer of petition where we bring our need's to him.

You also talked about following Jesus teachings and no one else, not even the disciples but the Lord himself told the disciples to make disciples of all nations, teaching them. He even gave them power to remit sin. Math28:18-20. John20:23

What you stated there, even as far as believing to receive, are laws under the New Covenant and all the laws in the Law that is the New Covenant only apply to those who accept and obey the teachings of Jesus Christ. undecided

Jesus Christ warned you against focusing in only on some of His comandments/rules, ignoring the others, much like the Pharisees before you were known to do. Such practices amount to meaningless worship of God. undecided

About the Lord's prayer and imminent danger, yes, I do pray the Lord's prayer especially when I am having a panic attack. The Lord's prayer is the prayer Jesus Christ Himself taught His disciples. Are you somehow of the mind that the prayer is worthless in time of need? undecided

About discipleship, I am afraid you folks read your own delusions into what is written there. No where did Jesus Christ tell His disciples to get for themselves disciples. No, Jesus Christ warned them against setting themselves up as Rabbis/Leaders/Authorities, and He also warned them outright against setting themselves up as Teachers in the same context, Matthew 23 vs 1-16. So is Jesus Christ a liar and deceiver? undecided
