SouthEastFacts: I'm telling you. His statement surprised me. He definitely doesn't know how a plagiarism software works. Looking at his moniker, you'll think he's tech savvy or something like that. He even used Kali Linux logo as his profile picture. |

design104: They have been on it more than 5 years ago. I seriously doubt the integrity of the project and see it more or less as an avenue to siphon money the usual Nigerian way. If it was 80% complete in 2016, why has it not be finished and put to use by 2021? What is the over N 200 million for? Below is link to news on the same project from 2016 https://thenationonlineng.net/unilorin-six-others-develop-anti-plagiarism-software/amp/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/08/update-kuje-prisons/amp/ 1 Like |

Let me get home first. Make i check my prospectus that year remember the name of that HRM course. Akinmayowa plagiarized word for word, line for line everything in that Book from NETMBA.com Yet all management/social sciences students were forced to pay for that CRAP. |

Nice idea! Let's start the scanning with Nigerian academics who plagiarize other people's work in the name of writing textbooks and course materials. Then we move to those who plagiarize their graduate students' works as their own, claiming authorship in papers and journals. |

Hadizometer: Because Turnitin does not support local repositories, and EagleScan has a local language support as well. This is an indigenous solution and I'm surprised you are giving a foreign software an upper hand than supporting your own. |

lexyleeslim: This is an overstatement, please name a hundred of plagiarism detectors here let's see how much you know. |

So what plagiarism software do public universities use currently? Cause I know universities like covenant and babcok already use turnitin |

It's good we have our own indigenous checker. But those software can be very funny at times. I remembered when I was using turnitin for a project work and the software was telling me I plagiarized my street name. I was like, what name should I use instead of my street name..? |

They've been using this software in OAU since 2017 for PG students. Your thesis will only be returned if what you've copied is not properly referenced. |

Shellsploit: Probably you've never heard of Turnitin, no VPN will help.. The rule is any plagiarism detected in coursework, assignment or project above 25% , the person own don cook |
Re: EagleScan: Nigeria Unveils Plagiarism Detection Software by Lifestone(m): 9:30pm On Apr 30, 2021 |
Concetta:Oh sure, I will Because they know what they are doing. Anyway that should be where teaching the principles of plagiarism should start |
Re: EagleScan: Nigeria Unveils Plagiarism Detection Software by Jonwesley(m): 9:48pm On Apr 30, 2021 |
Ifiok21: EagleScan has a far reaching cover over the limitations of Turnitin. EagleScan has a depth of local repositories that the foreign Turnitin does not have and other features. |
