If this is accurate then this must be the shekau faction cos they're the broke ones. The iswap faction seem to be more buoyant, coordinated and are carrying out N-power or should I say B-power recruitment in yobe state. I'm not in the DSS and I know this. Now let's analyze this situation. I don't know whether this Gumi guy is somewhat connected to banditry but let's move this way. First, he knew the whereabout of those bandits even when all the federal and state security couldn't point out this guys.. Then he said these bandits have decided to drop their weapons and have repented.. An attack took place recently,he said it wasnt carried out by the bandit whom he has preached to. Now the kidnap of these students happened, No single security agency could give us any useful information, but Gumi already knows that these guys ain't bandits but bokoharam who threatened him too... Now the questions are: Why his he so connected with a lot of information?, Let's assume he's too connected to these people ( as per an Islamic scholar) who respect him, why can't he just provide locations of these guys to the government if he truly wants normalcy? If Gumi could know it's Boko-Haram that kidnapped the students, and he's advocating for them as he did for Bandits sometimes ago, he's the frontier of bandits as he knows their whereabouts, definitely he is also a bonafide member of Boko Haram or Boko Haram could so mean bandits on same agenda. |
