Trending on the internet is a case of a girl being flogged naked by a group of men in Libya.There are calls to Abike Dabiri or what ever to endure justice for the girl and find her assailant.I begin to wonder why Nigerian go sentimental over such cases and pass the buck on Abike Dabiri for their own shortcomings.Am deeply disturbed that with all publicity about the risk of a desert journey to Libya ,then being aware that the country is a war ravaged country.Which is being controlled by different criminal fractions who target foreigners mostly blacks enslaving them,and what ever horrific crimes as rape.Nigerians still take the stupid risk to travel to that country in the name of greener pastures.When everyday planeloads of Nigerians arrive from that country after being stranded ,and their journey home facilitated by an international organization.It is just as the case of Nigerians who peddle drugs to countries like Vietnam,Malaysia and other southeastern asian countries and pretend as if they dont know the penalty for such.And when caught tommorow reach out to Abike for redemption.
Going back to the girls case she was allerged to have been trafficked to Libya,she did that on her own accord as most of the allerged trafficked girls.They are very well aware of the horrific risks involved,to by trafficked by a syndicate of criminal gangs as these who trafficked her.These gangs are vicious and operate a mafia style of mondus,in conjuction with these warring fractions.There is no organized government in Libya,theres lawlessness everywere.So noboby can be held accountable just as in Somalia.The Nigerian government cannot even reach out to a organized government fraction to trace these men or the girl. there are thousands of such girls in trapped in that country prostituting themselves to Arab men.Hers is just a bolt out of the blues.The bottom line is that we should avoid such situations that can be avoided in the first place and be content with what we have. The girl would only harden up and brace up to meet future challenges involved in the prostitution business.Abike has nothing to do with her predicament or salvaging the situation.
