He is right, sad but true...in war there must be collateral damages sometimes for the overall good. Negotiating with bandits gives them more money to buy guns and bombs. I wonder why governors, and attorney general are not dragging Gumi the bandit sympathizer to court. |

The bandits will be back for more millions. Bunch of fools who doesn't know that ransom is not a solution to banditry. |

Rubbish talk..yet American soldiers entered this country,an unfamiliar terrain and successfully rescued all of their citizens kidnapped, this one is talking about bombing.if his son was among the kidnapped, would he have loved to bomb them? Clueless mad men....it's time we call for foreign support,as our armed forces have failed 1 Like |

He thinks we'll all fall for his way if thinking. Had his children been there, he wouldn't have said that. His statement is a another indictment on the Nigerian military, showing the soldiers are below the professional water mark of a military force. Now that the children are out, will his government and the said soldiers launch any attack against the terrorists? |
Re: El-Rufai: We Were Ready To Lose Students In Planned Bandits’ Bombardment by Karemarealty288(m): 7:00am On May 07, 2021 |
If your own child happens to be among them will you still consider him collateral damage? Nigeria Politicians sees anybody not family member as toilet paper !

sarrki: Somehow even beyond ethnic and religious coffers, i truly respect El Rufai. 1. He's not your typical politician who is just there to enrich himself while deceiving the masses. 2. He truly is passionate about making Nigeria a better country. However he's a Muslim, so his only fault is that he has been conditioned and even brainwashed if I may say to be prejudiced by religion against Christians. At the end of the day, his weakness as a human is strictly because of his religion. Otherwise o would have been a fan. As a Christian it's difficult to support a Muslim because you never know what Islam has taught them against you a Christian or non-Muslim. And vice versa, Muslims never know what a Christian really thinks of them by virtue of their religion. |

This is the needed mindset to end this insecurity. We can't continue paying ramsome to Bandits. Let's attack them. El Rufai still remains the best governor and leader in Nigeria... Just because of his stand on this issue and how the state is now rising in terms of development and IGR, they want to spoil everything for him.... Pity.. God bless Kaduna, God bless El Rufai |

Why not go ahead with the bombardment now that the students is released and kill all those terrorists called bandits or you are waiting for them to kidnap another students or soft target so una go pay another ransom. This is the biggest scam ever...our resources are been looted. |

Awoo88:Every card is on the table. That could very well be their aim. They know the bandits and their location. Sheik Gumi was there with the bandits yet there was no bombardment but when these criminals have kidnapped the students, El Rufai is encouraging bombardment with innocent students as collateral damage. God forbid! Wahala for those who don't know that it's all a planned work to finance their jihad. |

Even if loosing some students.....hmmmm Ok just say Rescue mission kawai.. Nigerian Army don't have military back up or millitary re-enforcement because some rescure mission can go south , so they will not have back up if the mission go south. That will be when we will hear call to command wasn't available.... |

Bamidele Teddy Joe-Fadile Lack Of Will To Track Kidnappers... Why Kidnappers are having a field day in nigeria. In this sophisticated century, its not rocket science to locate people physically in any part of this world. Technology can track one person for days and take him out, not to talk of tracking a group of people who hold 10, 30 or 100 people ransom. All it takes is putting money in satellite and drone technology. Within hours of any kidnapping, drones can locate the kidnappers and the victims and ground forces can be sent in to rescue them. There may be incidences of some of the victims caught in the crossfire, but once kidnappers know the Govt have drones that can locate them within hours and come after them, they will start thinking twice before embarking on their deadly mission. The Americans quietly sent in their forces to Nigeria last year, took out all kidnappers and rescued their citizen. Why is Nigeria playing with and allowing the lives of its citizens to be used as game on a chess board? But in a situation where the state claim to have an idea where they might be, or not seriously tracking them, where 98% of kidnappers succeed, that is an encouragement to the kidnappers. Saying the Govt will not negotiate with kidnappers is not enough, what is the Federal Govt doing to rescue the victims and annihilate the kidnappers? LITTLE.... Military grade drones are available in the international market. Some can travel 100 km from the control base and stay in the air for up to 24hrs, some can also be armed with missiles or multiple machine guns that can take out specific targets. We have seen them used in Afghanistan etc and rescue, target execution mission around the world According to information obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request, construction of the drone base in Niger cost $100 million. Weaponised drones experts say the starting price for the technology is about $15m (£12m) per unit, with more for add-ons, on top of the training and the crews needed to pilot them, while military surveillance drones start from 30 to $40,000 to millions of dollars. Compared to the billions of dollars stolen and mismanaged in Nigeria yearly, this is chicken change. Nigerian can easily afford a drone base in each state with armed drones or at least surveillance drones, manned by security agents and tech experts to track kidnappers and rescue the victims. One reason this is not happening is this.... The Government Does Not Have The Will. All talk and no action is what we are getting from the Federal Govt. The fight against this grave insecurity we face is fought through release of a few statements from the presidency. We have even heard some disheartening statements come from top people in Government telling Nigerians that Kidnappers have a few rifles and bullets, that people should face and overwhelm them.. Imagine the insensitivity !!! The primary responsibility of the Government is the securing of lives and properties of the citizens. Pre 2015 till date, Nigerians have not faced the kind of face paced insecurity, daily killings and kidnappings that we see daily now. The lack of empathy and body language from the top is most discouraging. Nigerians have been left to do whatever it takes to secure themselves. For how long? We never bargained for this. Sad Country. |

Governor EL,you have the floor now, trace them to their homestead and eliminate them.Who knows you can collect the ransome back and use it for project in their memory. The students of Afaka are not theatre practice for incompetent Airforce who mistakenly bombed idp as exchange for Boko Haram boys. |
