U might end up giving them 2k or 3k extra for the interview room. In nigeria if you don't grease the hands of corrupt officials,e go be like u want to teach me my job abi,ok. na oyo o. Dont be scared and feel intimidated, be bold,be aggressive and be sharp and above all pls be above 5.6 ft at most.

Tell us the official price and make the payment possible online. Both renewal and new applications should be eased and only data capturing should require physical presence in your premises.
This would prevent corruption of your officers and alleviate the stress on the applicants.

Interestingly payment is online, but because of the systematic corruption in NIS. If you process it by yourself, they will frustrate the living daylight out if you. It might take 2 years for you to get your passport after over 100 visits to their office

Please let me know if you are able to pay online and your passport promptly processed in their office.

Finally

The heading of this post is wrong. Passport issuance had never stopped. Therefore the minister never says it will resume on 31st May. Rather, he says all outstanding passports will be produced before 31st of May. In other words every captured applicants passport would have been produced by that date before the commencement of the 6 weeks duration of production from June 1st.
