Firstly, this post is to help persons grieve through the pain of loss and also for others that are quick to judge about the existence of God due to the presence of evil and hopefully gain a better perspective.

Let’s look at the lifecycle of a butterfly, it starts life off as an egg, transforms into a caterpillar, “dies” as a larva and is reborn into its true self a butterfly. Throughout all this life changing experiences the butterfly never ceased from being a butterfly, being a butterfly was its innate nature regardless of how long it took.

As Humans, we can relate to this, we are 3 core in 1 i.e. the Body, Spirit and Soul, the body is our physical compartment, restricted to the governing earthly laws of matter around us, the Spirit is our connection to God, while our Souls are what makes us unique individual Humans. Hence you hear the term wicked soul. Each human is Unique and accountable for his or her actions here on earth.
Which brings us to the next question , our purpose as Humans on earth? this is simple, Humans were designed for one purpose only to Fellowship with God his maker, hence at the beginning (Gen 3:cool God used to come down and gist/fellowship with Man in the Garden of Eden, this was also emphasized by our Lord Jesus in Luke 19:40, God stated that he would raise stones to praise him if Men refused to do so…, but to worship God one must to do so in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24), so in essence stemming from the fall of Man at the Garden of Eden to reconcile ourselves back to God, the earth became a Test ground to identify those Humans that will indeed Worship God in Spirit and in Truth, via our redeemer Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6), to separate the good fruit from the tare.

So there’s this perennial question, if God exists why does he allow so much evil to occur, why did that child have to die etc…, to answer this question, that brings us back to the nature of Human, Firstly, no human was born through its own volition, even with modern day science all conception is an act of God (ask those who have all the money in the world and cant birth a child), secondly as mentioned the Human itself is the Soul, and the Soul is not defined by time i.e. the body may be incapacitated (in a coma) but the person would still be alive, so note the body is made from physical material hence it can not stay forever it has a stamped expiry date just like the food we eat (its not a perpetual motion machine). So this brings me back to the question, as Humans because we are first embraced by our physical form we tend to forget who we really are, we are Spirit encompassed within a body just like the Butterfly, physical death is a release/transformation to our true everlasting form, if you can grasp this, then you would understand in the overview of things affects only the individual that performs this act, as he/she will be judged accordingly, on a time scale, life on earth is negligible, sort of like comparing one naira to a trillion dollars, spending one naira out of a trillion dollars is negligible, so when “evil” appears to win on earth and nothing is being done about it, just realize that such an event tends to quicken the individual for physical release into the human true form, i.e. His/her soul. As such on a grand scale, there’s no loss rather the evil individual will be judged for eternity for his actions on earth.

P.s
I recently lost a dear friend at the age of 25, she was the gentlest of souls. God knows best, It is well. Jesus said why fear those that can kill the body and not the spirit, rather fear Him that can kill both the body and soul (Matt 10:28)

Death is everyone's master and if you didn't die probably rapture took you away. May we not mourning over our loved ones. Death of a loved one will create an everlasting hole/void in one's heart and no one can fill the hole. Ask people to lost their husbands and refuse to marry the void will still be there.

Dare Adeboye Rest in Peace no one can blame God for your death he does what's he wants and he's the creator who created the creation.

Sorry for your loss!

However, Isaiah 57:1 has already answered this question!

"The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come."

1. Jesus Christ did not come so we can continue to live as though we are too good to die abeg! Every human being is scheduled to die, and this beginning from the very point of conception. undecided

2. You said you recently lost a loved one whom you claim was the gentlest of souls... are you saying that she was better than the many other thousands who died on that same day in other parts of the world? We need to stop being myopic even where death is concerned so we can start to see it for what it is... a previously scheduled(schedule unknown) part of existence for us all. undecided

3. Good people die in the midst of evil? Are you in some way suggesting that it is bad people that deserve to die in the midst of evil ? undecided
Death is inevitable.. what matters is not whether you perceive those who have gone before you as good or not...your perceptions matters for nothing where God and the things of God are concerned. undecided
