It was gathered that the fruit vendor was shot useless by a gunman suspected to be a soldier for refusing to permit the assailant to go away along with his bunch of bananas with out paying for it.

The daddy of the deceased, Alhaji Mustafa Musa, advised The PUNCH that two troopers went to his son’s fruits stand on Sunday and bought a bunch of bananas.

In line with him, when the troopers paid for the bunch, they tried to gather one other one free of charge and this led to a squabble.

Mustafa acknowledged,

“They purchased a bunch bananas for N300 and as a substitute of them to take the one they paid for, additionally they took one other one and needed to go together with it, however my son didn’t enable them to take action.

“When they insisted that they must go with the bunch of bananas, the fruit vendor rushed to the police station, which was very close to the scene of the incident, and reported the case and the two soldiers were arrested, but they were released shortly after.”

Mustafa added that instantly the troopers had been launched, one in all them went residence, fetched a gun and returned to the scene and shot the fruit vendor.

“My son was shot in the back and we took him to the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, but unfortunately, he lost his life,” Mustafa mentioned.

The daddy added that he reported the problem to all related authorities, together with the Human Rights Fee, in order that motion could possibly be taken towards the soldier, who killed his son.

A suffering fruit vendor murdered in cold blood by a Nigerian soldier because he wouldn't part ways with some bananas for free. What a country!
Tomorrow someone will write RIP for such evil military men who see civilians as bloody games to be easily tossed away at any notice.
