Fifty thumb-printed ballot papers were on Tuesday found on a youth corps member serving as presiding officer at the Local Authority Grammar School, Ibokun, Osun State.

She was arrested and handcuffed by policemen before being taken away for further interrogation.

The suspect, whose name was given as Mrs. Dupe Obembe, was one of the corps members participating in the mandatory national service.

She told security agents that 20 presiding officers were given the thumb-printed ballot papers by the stalwarts of a prominent political party in the country.

She claimed that other presiding officers in the ballot paper racket were serving in other parts of Obokun Local Government Area, including Esa-Oke.

She has been taken to the Divisional Police Command in Ibokun for onward transfer to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
