Not me.

YouTube has taken over.
Whatever free time I have is spent watching YouTube skits and oyibo stand up comedy.

and sometimes world news on CNN or BBC.

What about you? When last did you put on the TV?

The only time I used to watch movies back then was when my female friends visits.

Few minutes into the movie, I will purposely increase the AC and wait for her to complain of cold.

Watching television helps you improve on your grammar.
It improves your diction and helps you become more articulate/eloquent.
It is not just for entertainment.
Everything depends on your mindset.
You're likely to learn more quicker through watching television than reading to yourself.

Data is very expensive in Nigeria

So streaming services like Netflix,Showmax, Spotify, YouTube etc will still take the back seat behind TV

You are missing it. Television will be be around for long. Reasons

1. They now come in as Smart TVs. Some TV have almost all the apps you need. You can also pair some TV to display your PC

2. Cable Sport shows [dstv and other dongles] will still make TV relevant for some times

3. Most TV comes in 4k or 8k. Yes, there are 4k devices. But you get better viewing experience from a wide 55 inches tv compare to your usual 15 inches PC

4. Sony and Microsoft wont stop releasing consoles and games, you still need them

5. For local news and some international channels, you still need them

6. There are now wall smart TVs. How many people have that already?. They'll still go round and it may take many years.

7. A living room without a TV is like a body without head.

They will still be around for long though in various or updated forms. Now we have smart TV, wall TVs. Who knows what the next gen might be?
