NPA: Hadiza Usman’s Suspension Disheartening –former Liberian President, Sirleef by Amotolongbo(f): 5:50pm On May 15, 2021
Former President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, on Saturday said she was disheartened over the suspension of Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Hadiza Bala Usman.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari on May 7th approved a probe of the management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

The probe, recommended by the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi demanded an Administrative Panel of Inquiry to look into the activities of the NPA.


Buhari also ordered Hadiza Bala Usman to step aside while the investigation is on.

She is alleged to have looted over N165 billion.

But reacting, Sirleaf on her Twitter page said Hadiza is an accomplished leader and dedicated public servant.

Sirleaf called for equal treatment and adherence to the rule of law during the probe.

”I am disheartened to hear about the suspension of Nigerian Ports Authority MD @hadizabalausman, who I have known to be an accomplished leader and dedicated public servant.

”I urge adherence to the rule of law and fair and equal treatment as the situation evolves.”

Madam Johnson should pay more attention to the way Liberia is being run down by Weah.
We in Nigeria are not comfortable with the way Bihari is running the affairs of our country that's why we don't discuss much about Liberia.

Appointing Hadiza was even one of the atrocities committed by Bihari but Madam Johnson didn't join our shout then because she believed that the future is female.

Right now, we have more problems here in Nigeria than Hadiza and Amaechi. Get that, Madam Johnson

Nairaland is a microcosm of the rot and sentiments in Nigeria where youths celebrate the murder of security agents because they wear a uniform to eke out a living and also the extra judicial killing of fellow youths because they are Igbo and belong to IPOB.
It gets depressing sometimes that the country has become a bastion of nepotism, everything is seen from the prism of tribe and religion. Which way Nigeria?
