Looming Protest By Nigerian Army, Navy, Police, Civil Defense, And DSS Officers Over Unpaid Allowances....Report

There is serious grumbling among the joint security team attached to auditors handling the forensic audit of the projects executed by Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over embezzlement of welfare packages by the ministry of Niger/Delta affairs in connivance with some security chiefs.

It would be recalled that Federal Executive Council ordered the forensic audit of NDDC last year, owing to widespread corruption ravaging the commission since her establishment.

This lead to the appointment of a Lead consultant and sixteen (16) field forensic auditors to carry out the exercise.

In order to provide effective security for the auditing team, security operatives were drawn from Nigeria Police, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps and Department of State Services with the assurance from the Ministry of Niger Delta affairs that all their allowances like FEEDING, MEDICAL, DUTY TOUR, ACCOMMODATION, HAZARDS among others would be taken care of, but the reversed has been the case.

Findings revealed that each security agent received a paltry sum of five hundred naira (#500) per meal against the sum of five thousand naira (#5000) budgeted for each person per meal, while the whole medical allowance was totally embezzled,a situation that has left the health of these security guards unattended to.

Similarly it was gathered that, Duty tour and hazard allowances had been grossly reviewed downward by the security committee headed by Ardo BABAYO, permanent secretary Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.mThis was done in conjunction with an unnamed Brigadier General of Nigeria Army, one assistant director of DSS, as well as another CSP of Nigeria Police who conspired to shortchange these security operatives.

Another person fingered in this shoddy deal is a Director in the ministry, Emmanuel AGBER who reportedly promised heaven and earth to these operatives during inauguration few weeks ago, unknowing to them that he was even the brain behind of the whole embezzlement.

This development has reportedly dampened the morale these security guards and they vowed to frustrate the ongoing forensic audit exercise by exposing these auditors to dangers. While lamenting, a sergeant of Nigeria Army decried the situation,he noted that charity should begin at home, and urged presidency to come to their aid before it’s late.

Efforts to get the reaction of the ministry of Niger Delta proved abortive as at press time as some officials contacted declined to comment.

You should be arrested if you are just starting to become ashamed when others are celebrating their shame jubilee.

It has always been a mega wealth transfer scheme. The majority dummy elect few elites who understand this fact and the elites seeing what is on ground have no empathy when stealing their share of the greater loot. In fact the greater looting plan is in jeopardy right now because the remaining five regions are not developing fast enough compare to the loot disguised as allocation they are recieving.
