The first reason is inexperience. The unknown Gunmen (UGM), blinded by this, thinks the Nigerian army is stupid, underestimates the enemy's intelligence,
thinks everything is easy and, as a result, leaves evidence that can lead to disaster.
Because of his inexperience, the unknown Gunmen may also overestimate the forces of the Nigerian army, believing them to be stronger than they really are. Allowing himself to be fooled by this presumption, the unknown Gunmen becomes intimidated and remains insecure and indecisive, paralyzed and lacking in audacity.

The second reason the UGM will loose is to boast about the actions he has undertaken and to broadcast them to the four winds. We know this one, it is very easy to catch an ipob member all you need to do is go to the newspaper stand in the junction. He will be there boasting about what they did last night or last week. The Nigerian army has at least 20 IPOB infiltrators as we speak. I'm not saying UGM and Igbos are the same but I'm using the same cup to measure because they could be.

The third reason is vanity. They will try to solve these problems by actions in the city, but without bothering about the beginnings and survival of other UGM in other areas. Blinded by success,he winds up organizing an action that he considers decisive and that puts into play the entire resources of the organization.

The fourth reason the UGM will fail is to exaggerate his strength and to undertake actions for which he, as yet, lacks sufficient forces or supplies and the required infrastructure to carry out. Just like number one, as they keep attacking the NPF and army checkpoint.

The fifth reason the UGM will loose is rash action. They loosing patience, suffers an attack of nerves, does not wait for anything, and impetuously throws himself into action, suffering untold defeats.

The sixth reason UGM will loose is to attack the enemy when they are most angry. Putting their emotions into play. Or just after suffering a defeat. They decide to attack.

The seventh reason the UGM will fail is to fail to plan things, and to act spontaneously. When you fail to plan, you plan to fail. The UGM has no plans at all, no objectives. At least we know what Boko Haram is fighting for. What are the UGM fighting for?

Edited: the last reason the UGM will loose is walking around with a smart phone. Walking around with a smartphone means you could be stopped by the army and your phone searched for pictures in your gallery. The least a UGM should do is go with a torch light and no phones during an operation. if going to an operation with a phone. Then they get shot and the phone get retrieved and the army begins tracking them down one by one putting its members at risk.

Let the peace of God reign in the east, all the military operations are misplaced and not working. What guarantees that this planned military operation will bring everlasting peace. I think they should have a change of approach

Peace is not the temporary calm that the presence of heavily armed military on the streets brings.

Peace is healing the wounds of the people and ending prevalent chaos by solving the issues that triggered the unrest in the first instance.

Have you interviewed any of them to know their objectives?

You can't stay in your room and keep making baseless assumptions
Every action has an objective behind it.

What is UGM in the first place?
Isn't that a name assigned to them by the likes of me and you?
The fact that they are not known under this acronym as a pre-existing body nullifies all you said about them.
You can't claim to know the aims of a ghost body. I see your continuous use of 'his' and 'he' to describe UGM. You're obviously talking of someone in particular then.

Werey dey disguise grin

While this could be the usual DSS crap to demoralise, I also recognize that this could be a coded advice by someone that wants to dish out knowledge to the UGM. to use and plan for the coming attacks.

It's easier to predict them once you study them. Let me give you a prediction. They need weapons, where do they get it? By attacking security forces. Then they'll need money but they need the people's support, so they won't go into kidnappings yet, they'll go into attacking banks.
