Almost 3 billion dollars for an insignificant bridge in the heart of Lagos? Google the amount used to build similar bridges around the whole world..

Corruption walks like a gladiator in Lagos State.

You don’t have to endure the pain when there is an easy way out. Leave Lagos and go back to your home state. Nobody is forcing you to stay in Lagos. Get the fvck out of the state and spare us your story of pain and headache.

Abi OO. Problem with these IPOBians is that they hate Yorubas passionately, and will use everything to attack Yoruba leaders/people and States, yet they can't stay away from 'London of Nigeria' Yorubaland they covet and Yoruba people they want to profit from.

Why bore us about the 'injustice' of taxation in Lagos when you are a willing migrant from Abia, Enugu, Anambra, Imo or Ebonyi?

Why not go back to those places to get the 'justice' and equitable taxation you senselessly ran away from in the first place when you left ala Igbo willingly to come to burden the SW?

Igbomans ingratitude and sense of entitlement na die abeg.

Lol. You envious and hateful Biafrans never fail to amuse me. Corruption walks like a gladiator in Lagos State ba?

At least returns are visible for how corruption is "walking" in Lagos. Not so?

What returns are your leaders delivering in Abia, Anambra, Imo etal where corruption does not exist at all let alone be twerking around?

Should you hypocritical Biafrans even be talking at all when you have the worst leaders, in the entire Nigeria, you refuse to comment on yet you are always shouting negatively about the administration of SW States?

I wonder O. A people only ever able to see the dirty clothing of others while they walk around in filthy rags. Wonderful and tragic at the same time.

If I go to my village, will that stop the Lagos house of assembly chairman from giving 10 million naira of tax payers money to his baby mama for fucckking him well at night?

Or will that stop him from doling out over 600 million naira of tax payers money for invitation cards.?

No it will not but we all know same or worse is going on in your Village. Why not then go and begin your 'good governance' agitation and activism from your Village?

Is that not the logical thing a responsible person should do rather than be shouting hypcritically about the speck in the eyes of others while silent about the log in his own eye? Abi charity no longer begins at home?

Looking at the amount involved, it will really be difficult no doubt. However, if Lagos state government can dictate about N200BN to the project for three straight years, that’s N600BN. The private sector partners can come up with the balance. With commitment, the bridge will be delivered in three years and will be tolled at two or three points for 30 years.

The budget was 844 million Naira at target launch date of 2017.

It still has to be noted that the budget has not changed too significantly and has actually fallen from original quotation given.

It the quotation currency that has. N844 million naira in 2017 would be around 2.5 billion dollars back then given dollars exchanged averagely against Naira at a rate of 333 Naira to 1 dollar in 2017.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_Mainland_Bridge

The bridge is a 2 x 4 lane carriageway cross-sectional road with permission for BRT Lane and future road contraction. It is expected to become the second longest Bridge in Africa, featuring 3 toll plazas, 9 interchanges, 4.5 km Lagoon Bridge and an eco-friendly environment amongst other added features.

The idea was conceptualized by the government of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state.

Construction was planned to commence in 2017, 50 years after the state’s existence and 26 years after the delivery of the Third Mainland Bridge by the ex-military President Ibrahim Babangida and expected to be completed by 2019, but had not been started as of April 13, 2020.

The project was to cost the state an estimated sum of ₦844 billion in the 2017 budget. In September 2020, the Lagos State Government proposed another sum of $2.2 billion for the construction.

800 houses are expected to be demolished as against the 4,000 earlier marked for demolition in the previous design that was realigned

Sanwo Olu is just a figure head and spokesperson for the real eternal emperor of Lagos State, the Jagabandit, Ashiwaehin and self-acclaimed leader of all democrats.

Is Tinubu also stealing your state's money? Because I wonder why you want to die in Lagos instead of your village
