Lool. The old man is not wrong. Why should he support someone else from another party based on ethnicity?
Not based on ethnicity is simply why should he support his age mate when there are young men out there with lots of ideas on how to rule Nigeria. Emmanuel Macron nor get 10 heads.

Tinubu WILL become the President of Nigeria! The power of who becomes the president does no lie in the hands of any Nigerian politician, including Babatope... it lies in the hands of those run the wealth and resources of Nigeria! Tinubu will definitely serve the interests of those ppl, so why won’t they give him the mandate? You go see na

Fair enough since you don’t belong to the same party.

However, there are other millions that will support him if he is on the ballot so no cause for alarm.
That should be only you and your loves ones and other gullible scavengers of Tinubu.
Look, our eyes don clear, PDP,APC all na vow, No election whether you like it or Not.

The point where he spoilt everything was at the point he mentioned "Fulani".

I don't know any reasonable person that will put fulani and Nigerians together in on sentence at this point in time in the nations history.

He should have stuck with his preference for Igbo presidency and not drag "Fulani" into the mix cos by doing that, he has just destroyed every reasonable consideration at seeing him as meaning good for that country.

Tinubu, Yahaya "yeye" Bello, and Fayemi are no no in my opinion. Osinbajo is a viable choice over then anytime anyway but I doubt if he is interested. Adeshina also has potential if he won't turn himself to a stooge of the west (the white guys).

I'm more confortable with Kingsley Moghalu of YPP than the trio of Tinubu, Bella or Fayemi. Meghalaya will be my choice of an Igbo candidate. From his 2019 campaigns, I think he has some good "economic" ideas that may make some positive impacts. My fear however is that if he really has an all inclusive, non-nepotistic tendency initially, that may be highjacked by some people and then Buhari's nepotism will be child's play compared to what may happen. History has shown it occurred during Aguiyi-Ironsi's short stint at head of state.

GEJ also showed a tiny nepotism tendency with the way he condoned the sit tight attitude of his aviation minister and his petroleum minister (Diezani).

Can't give a candid assessment of Yar'adua's leaning because he had no opportunity to do so much due to his ill health but Nigeria's most detribalised president since 1999 is unarguably Obasanjo. He has his own evils too, but hey, he was really an "all inclusive" and detribalised Nigerian.

But Igbo doesn't want presidency but Biafra...politics is a game of number, you can dissociate yourself from Yoruba, Hausa/Fulani and other tribes and expect to emerge as a Nigerian president, you work in accord with other regions..but my Igbo brothers thought, they can be there without the support of Hausa/Fulani especially... waiting for insults though

Mumu, nobody is going to insult you, that will be a waste of time.

Has your life been any better not having an Igbo man as president?

During the last presidential elections, PDP had 47% of SW votes while APC had 53%. This shows that APC only won the SW with just 6% votes, meaning there are a lot of divergent opinions in the SW. SW is not one-way.

What Babatope is saying is that it is the time of Igbos to produce President, not Yorubas

Presidency is taken, not given. Igbos have to come out and fight for it. Nobody will zone the Presidency to your village, you have to come out and compete with others.

MKO Abiola contested against Bashir Tofa and whipped Bashir Tofa in Bashir Tofa's ward, LG and State.

Olusegun Obasanjo too contested the PDP ticket against Alex Ekwueme, Abubakar Rimi and others and Obasanjo got the ticket. Next election, Obasanjo contested against Emeka Ojukwu and defeated the Igbo Lord in all the 11 South-East and South-South states.

Presidency was never zoned to Obasanjo's village. So, Igbos should come out and fight for it. Igbos may just be the solution to Nigeria's problems, they developed India, Bangladesh, Europe, America, Malaysia, let them come and develop Nigeria too. But, they gave to fight for it, Presidency is not given on a platter of gold.
