The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, has directed the cancellation of events slated for marking the 65th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy.

This is contained in a statement by spokesperson for the Nigerian Navy, Commodore Suleman Dahun.

Dahun said that the decision followed the sad demise of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and some senior officers in the air crash of Friday, May 21 in Kaduna.

“The CNS commiserates with the nation and offers the condolences of officers and ratings of the Nigerian Navy to Mr President.

“The Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force as well as families of the departed.

“May their souls rest in peace,” he said.

He said that the death of Attahiru, a service chief, like his colleague in the navy, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, had put the army, navy, air force and the entire defence circle in sober mood.

Okay...

If the COAS was told on Friday morning that he would taste death by the evening of the same day, he would have ordered air bombardment on the harbinger of such prophecy.

Personally, I don't believe in coincidence: every single thing happens for a reason, and to a greater extent, for a purpose.

Let cancellations and commiserations begin.

He was probably being lesser evil, had a bit of conscience, instead of being a tyrant chose only wickedness but that wasn't enough. You'll have to be a complete devil before coming close to the top in Nigeria.

It's okay.
He's worthy of the honour.

Meanwhile,

I don't believe there's anything sinister in this incident.
- The real cause could have been the 1970 delapidated aircraft.
- Quota-system trained pilot
- Corruption by maintenance service officers etc.

When you elect fools especially fool ani awùsá people to manage things, what else do you expect from savage animals?

Almost ALL the government agencies are managed by those nomadic savage animals.

...Same reason why Nigeria has 4 refineries but none is functioning.
And so, we have to go refine our oil to get petrol in Niger republic or Europe usually and pay heavy SUBSIDY...
...Same reason Buhari the king cow's appointments are 80% of his people.

...Same reason an oil producing country doesn't have stable electric power. Etc

THE SEPARATION OR DIVISION OF THIS COUNTRY IS INEVITABLE.

I'm just waiting for the senile vegetable cow master to quickly fill the vacant position with another of his ALMAJIRI brother.

He thinks he's doing us with his nepotistic governance grin He's doing himself and his people grin

Anyone not awùsá fool ani that's still supporting this evil government will not know peace.

From a Northerner named Sarki:
"Nigerian’s biggest mistake will be the day we allow an IGBO MAN (A Biafra Man) to become the President of this great country. That will be end of us all, especially Northerners"

"Shekau has a better chance of being President than an Igbo man
Relax"

It actually calls for cancellation as a sign of respect to the late officers who die in active duty.

Once again may their soul RIP!
