MAKE USE OF EXIT DOOR DURING AIR EMERGENCY

The rate of air disaster these days is unbecoming and habitual. Will I say it occurs due to our recklessness or neglect of certain tutorials about Air Emergency?
This is left for the appropriate authorities to answer.

Sad news broke out yesterday that Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 others crash landed on Emergency return to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport due to Engine failure as reported.

When such situation occurs mid air and out of control of the pilot, announcement are supposed to be made to notify the occupants of the precarious situation at hand.

The occupants are either told to fasten their seat belt or put on their parachute vest in preparation for exit.

The beechcraft 350 that crashed have either 1 or 2 Emergency Exit doors as shown in the picture below. Had it been the aircraft made Provisions for parachute for emergency situations like this, more life's would have been saved.

On this note, I urge the Federal Civil Aviation Authority (FCAA), Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Minister of Aviation to organize 2 weeks workshop on "AVIATION SAFETY" for the safety of their Passengers.

I pray, May we not experience such Air Disaster on our land again.

Passenger plane nor dey carry parachute, na life vest e dey carry.
DAT life vest go protect person wey wear am b4 crash from hitting him body for any object, and also keep am afloat Incase naa water plane enter.

Life vest and parachute no b the same thing.

The first aircraft with the Major is not a Beechcraft but a Dassualt Falcon.. and secondly the plane ran into trouble at touch down and at that point a parachute has no use .. remember most parachutes most be deployed above 2000 feet for it to work properly

Do you even know what it means for a plane to crash? They said that plane landed and caught fire. Even if it didn't catch fire, the impact of hitting the ground in an uncontrolled manner would knock out everyone on board, especially if they hit their head on something. If they did not, they'll need minutes to recover their orientation before thinking of removing seat belt. Anyone without seat belt doesn't stand a chance. All those safety drills they give you during take-off is for the unlikely situation that the plane crashed in the water or that landed safely before something went wrong. Planes are like bullets carrying people. You just pray the worse doesn't happen.
