How Many Resurrections Are There Going To Be? by Jokerman(m): 7:34am On May 23, 2021
The word of God explicit said there will be resurrection of the dead;

Mark 12:33 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
Luke 14:14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

Knowing the above; how many resurrections will be? How many does the bible say?

Also, what resurrection will occur at the rapture of the saints? See scripture below;

1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

From the bolded, we can agree that there is a resurrection, What can we say?

Also does that verse destroy the pre-tribulation doctrine? because as we can deduce, that is the first resurrection which only occurs after the Antichrist tribulations as stated in the book of revelation?

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

From these chapters and verses, do you still believe that the rapture will happen before the tribulation? If yes, kindly explain to us what kind of resurrection will happen at the rapture, and also how many times will Jesus descend from heaven?

So people how many resurrections will be?

So people how many resurrections will be?

As you see, it is 2!

1) First is the Resurrection of the souls who were killed for refusing to take the evil Mark!

They get compensated with 1000 years of Goodnesses of Life on earth, then Satan is released to Test them again!

2) The Final Resurrection and Judgement of All Dead everywhere, from Cain and the old world to the Last Day before judgement including those who have taken their compensation for refusing the mark but they followed Satan when he was released to them.

I was expecting you to quote where the bible wrote “rapture.”

This event described below in 1Thess 4:16-17, describes what is called the RAPTURE (Harpazo)

Another word for rapture Sir, is resurrection of the saints from those bible verses.

I'm just explaining that the resurrection (rapture) doesn't occur till after the tribulation thereby debunking the myth of pretribulation doctrine

Oga, stop contradicting yourself.

Rapture is not resurrection. Can sb alive be resurrected?

And the word “rapture” does not occur in the bible, nor does it imply it.

How many deaths?
Re: How Many Resurrections Are There Going To Be? by chatinent: 8:13am On May 23, 2021
When the apostle Paul said that Christians would be “caught up” to be with the Lord, what subject was being discussed?

1 Thess. 4:13-18, RS: “We would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are asleep [“those who sleep in death,” NE; “those who have died,” TEV, JB], that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

(Evidently some members of the Christian congregation in Thessalonica had died. Paul encouraged the survivors to comfort one another with the resurrection hope. He reminded them that Jesus was resurrected after his death; so, too, at the coming of the Lord, those faithful Christians among them who had died would be raised to be with Christ.)

Who are the ones that will be ‘caught up in the clouds,’ as stated at 1 Thessalonians 4:17?

Verse 15 explains that they are faithful ones “who are left until the coming of the Lord,” that is, they are still living at the time of Christ’s coming.

Will they ever die?
According to Romans 6:3-5 and 1 Corinthians 15:35, 36, 44, they must die before they can gain heavenly life. But there is no need for them to remain in the death state awaiting Christ’s return. They will instantly be “caught up,” “in the twinkling of an eye,” to be with the Lord.—1 Cor. 15:51, 52, RS; also Revelation 14:13

In what sense, then, will humans “see” the Lord “coming in a cloud”?

Jesus foretold: “Then they will see the Son of man [Jesus Christ] coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” (Luke 21:27, RS) In no way does this statement or similar ones in other texts contradict what Jesus said as recorded at John 14:19. Consider: At Mount Sinai, what occurred when God ‘came to the people in a thick cloud,’ as stated at Exodus 19:9? (RS) God was invisibly present; the people of Israel saw visible evidence of his presence, but none of them actually saw God with their eyes. So, too, when Jesus said that he would come “in a cloud,” he must have meant that he would be invisible to human eyes but that humans would be aware of his presence. They would “see” him with their mental eyes, discerning the fact that he was present.

Unfortunately, the presence of Jesus was also foretold but only few see it.

So what do you think St Paul meant here Sir?

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed
15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Imagine some people waiting and thinking some heavenly dictator is preparing a place for them in another realm grin grin

You better enjoy this life and don't waste your time for any heavenly race. If you read your bible, you would get to the part where Jesus said non of his disciples would not taste death before he comes back. (lets assume these people really existed and lived over 2000 years ago). How soon is Jesus soon?

Did He say none or some would not taste Death until after they have "seen" Him returning in glory? undecided

These means there are two resurrections.

The first is the resurrection of those who believe in Jesus Christ, the saints, the righteous ones who have died and died after the tribulation of the Antichrist, along with tjosbe who would still be alive at the return of Jesus Christ.

The 2nd is at the great white judgement where those who didn't make 1st resurrection will be judge after the millennial reign of Christ, the release of the devil again and the final battle of God and Magog against the saints.

Jokerman:

These means there are two resurrections.
The first is the resurrection of those who believe in Jesus Christ, the saints, the righteous ones who have died and died after the tribulation of the Antichrist, along with those who would still be alive at the return of Jesus Christ.
The first is the resurrection of the Born Again Christians:
This set are a limited number of people {Luke 12:32} from different races throughout the earth. They are supposed to be CHOSEN from the twelve tribes of natural Israel {Matthew 19:28} but because the nation rejected Jesus as the Christ and his wonderful counsel, and killed him the invitation was blown open to other nations. John 1:11-12 compare to Matthew 22:1-14
Their selection began in the first century that's why Jesus said all those who lived before John the baptist wouldn't have that privilege {Matthew 11:11} they must be trained to resist Satan's weapons like nepotism, racism, selfishness, greed and willing to die for their citizens (if the need be) just as Jesus did before they can become part of this ruling team! Matthew 20:20-23 compare to John 13:34
So those who have slept in death amongst them will be resurrected first {1Thessalonians 4:16} but the remaining who are still alive will not need to wait in the grave like others did, when the trumpet of Christ's victorious Kingdom is blown those sleeping will be resurrected (as spirit persons) while those still living will have to complete their earthly assignment before leaving the earth instantly at death!

The 2nd is at the great white judgement where those who didn't make 1st resurrection will be judge after the millennial reign of Christ, the release of the devil again and the final battle of God and Magog against the saints.
The second resurrection will include Christians who aren't part of the ruling team, all God's servants of old before Christ and faithless people throughout the earth that lived and died based on their conscience. However it's still the Christians that will be resurrected first because they must make preparations for others who knew nothing about Christ and his kingdom government, set standards throughout the earth then the servants of God who knew about the coming Christ through the promises of God will follow them. Lastly are pagans who never had the opportunity to hear the good news of God's kingdom but lived by their God's given conscience.
The reason for this setting is to allow the Christians renovate the earth to the best standard of living conditions so when God's servants of old are resurrected they will immediately grasp that God's promises are under fulfilment of a peaceful earth {Job 14:13-15} where evildoers are no more! Psalms 37:9-11

As for the judgment day most religionsts got it wrong totally but if you're interested in knowing more you can signal by saying "YES"
May you have PEACE! smiley

I hate the one to burst this bubble for you but I am afraid what you claim above stands on direct contradiction of Jesus Christ's own teaching where it concerns His return. Read Matthew 25 vs 1 - 46 and the Matthew 19 vs 27 - 30. undecided

Your first mistake was probably in your attempt to ally a literal translation to that which is written in a book born of dream/vision given to a third party, in this case, john the apostle, among others. undecided

Did you ever read the Parable of the 10 Virgins in Matthew 25? Did you know that while waiting for the bridegroom to arrive, all 10 of them died - the story writes that they slept but that was representative of the kind of death that awaits those who believe in Jesus Christ. undecided

Now, when the bridegroom arrived, a call went out to rouse the sleeping brides... waking up, they were in fact resurrected....all 10 of them. undecided
I believe everything that Jesus Christ told us is the Truth of God. undecided
